So let's get back to business. On another thread I started in the Pick 3 forum, I listed the Top 10 Hottest Straight Front Pairs for the whole country. But... if I go by the poll I took awhile ago about what kind of data people were most interested in, it was 29 to 15 that our LP members preferred your own state and not all states.
I'm still on the fence about that. For myself, researching all states gives you a much wider field to explore. So I'm going with all states data here but it can STILL help you hammer out a straight in your state, I believe. Keep reading :)
Let's take a look at the Top 10 Straight Front Pairs. I made a mistake on the other thread but after today searching every single one, these are the tops:

It's interesting to find that 3 of them are doubles.
Let's stop right here.
Now we KNOW what the 10 Hottest are. But I know what you're thinking.
So what if these are the Hottest in the country? It's NOT MY STATE.
Well...YOUR state was included in these results, right? So they must have shown up at sometime. More times then you might think.
What does this all mean to you? Okay. So now we have 10 Top Pairs, you're saying to yourself.
Jiminy Crickets! That's 100 NUMBERS. That doesn't help me in the least!
I know a lot of people ignore "All State" threads because they feel it doesn't pertain to them. It's too generic, too iffy.
But is there any such thing as specific state data that has helped you win a straight on a consistent basis?
I wonder. Yes, we can look at what is DUE, what is running HOT and so on and so forth. But, does this kind of thing help you in your everyday play? I mean, if someone has studied their own state's past history and think they have finally figured it all out they should be a millionaire. I doubt we have too many Pick 3 millionaires here,lol. Maybe I'm being snarky. But even after 10 years of being on the Lottery Post I'm still receiving PM's from members needing a number to play. So that tells me there's a lot of you out there who need some roots, something to go on,someplace to start.
How many of you even know your Pick 3 game's Hottest Digit?
Doesn't it make sense to know that at least so you have ONE number that can always be your "go to" number?
I'm not saying anything new, it's just common sense. But let's get back to these Hot Straight Pairs and how it can help YOU win a straight in YOUR state.
100 numbers. Well, let's look at it this way. We have eliminated 900 numbers to have to consider. That to me is a big deal. ANY number you can eliminate is a huge plus.
Yes, you may have your pet numbers. And yes, you may have had a few hits with them. That's great! I'm not telling you to never play any other numbers but common sense and facts are telling us that these should be your "go to" front pairs. No sums, no v-tracs, no mirrors or magic. Just the facts.
I'm not saying there's anything wrong with systems or however else you decide what to play. But let's rely on the facts a little bit here and see if anybody winds up with a straight using them. If you don't...well... then I'll shut up and we'll go back to systems,lol.
So how do I figure out which of these 100 numbers to play in MY STATE?

The first thing I would look for (and this is just my opinion) is which one of these
front pairs is longest out.
Let's use KENTUCKY for an example. No particular reason. I just chose it randomly.
Starting from Feb. and going backwards, let's mark out the pairs that have already shown until we come to the longest out. (Notice how many straights there were from our list in almost 4 months time. Still going to say that all states data doesn't matter?)

I absolutely love this. This goes in league with the type of "Out of the box" creativeness I also try to achieve.
I'm not particularly fond of overdue, and that's based on the fact that there are so many times I waited for a due number or combo to show, I realized this was not the way to go. HOWEVER, I do believe there is a more accurate way to predict, just like yours, a small set or group of numbers, rather than individual numbers or combos. Individual combos are 1 in a 1,000, but a group of 10 has a much more predictable success rate because now we have reduced the possibilities down to 100 or 10.

We are only dealing with these 10 pairs in exact order. How do they turn into 9,000?
Maybe am not thinking right, Pick 3 has 1000 triads, each triad has 9 potential pairs for every draw. A draw 123 could have had any of these fronts 1,1} {1,2} {1,3} {2,1} {2,2} {2,3} {3,1} {3,2} {3,3}. I am trying to understand the permutation 10P2 within 1000 triads.

Of course, using this information with what you already do, if it its working for you, is a plus. How does that work? For instance my vtrac indicator for this evenings draw is 1 and 4. So that means that the digit 8 and 3, and digit 0 and 5 should be at the forefront. And double can really be in play. Why? 2 doubles indicators just came....and all odd combination, and just before that a consecutive trio combination. And as lottolaughs said these are HOT!
How hot? The 08 front pair is 350 draws out. Yes, I know that's not 80, but using the pairs analysis feature on LP I can see this. The 10 front pair is out 254 draws. Does this make it more likely. Not according to the rules of randomness, but to the rules of likelihood, yes. What is out will come in.
So, yep. I'm on those pairs in my workout!!
Thank you,Jay :) "Combining methods is the way to go." That used to be my little tag line. It's interesting you mention the 08 pair straight. Here is more "combining" but of information instead of methods. The 08x combo is on the lower end of the "lottery scale" as in how many times it's come up statewide. So, if it makes you feel any better, then you can almost- probably-maybe feel confident that it may not show up straight,lol. More probably as 80x.
But that 10x is looking good. And I'm glad you brought that up because you got me to thinking that I forgot to mention about 3rd digits. After all most of us can't be spending $20 or $30 bucks a day if your state has multiple draws. (Oh and did I say it yet? THANK GOD KANSAS FINALLY GOT A MIDDAY DRAW!! I was surprised to see that when I came back.
Here is Part 2 of our Lesson Of The Day on choosing 3rd digits to play with your straight pair.
Let's use Kansas as our example since that is your state and I'm very excited about this 10x.
First we'll take a look at all the past 10x results.
My first instinct is to always find the longest out digits. I know, I know...perhaps not always the "smartest" thing to look for. Especially since my other little tag line used to be "Play What's Hot, Not What's Not". (lol)
Here we can see that 107 has been pretty HOT. So what do YOU think? I think it's petered out myself since it "obeyed" the "3 times Rule" TWICE.
What about the others?
I start marking off the first 5 digits that have last shown.

1 has def been out the longest so I'd play that for sure.
6 is second longest out...play that for sure.
I'd probably play all of these just to cover myself. But I also like to see if any recent numbers have shown up close together which brings us to our 7. But that's shown so many times I'm eliminating that one. I don't notice any other clusters of 2 repeat digits so my final prediction for KS would be...100 101 103 105 106. (Now watch 102 show up) Bo-ing
Let's take it a step further and look at each of these numbers past history. 100...yikes. 5 years out. Cold cold cold. Can we safely eliminate? Mmmmm...now I'm thinking, yes?

Now that I see all of these in black and white my instinct (or something,someone? else) is telling me now that 102 has a great chance to show when before I looked at them I didn't.

Let's use Kansas as our example since that is your state and I'm very excited about this 10x.
First we'll take a look at all the past 10x results.
My first instinct is to always find the longest out digits. I know, I know...perhaps not always the "smartest" thing to look for. Especially since my other little tag line used to be "Play What's Hot, Not What's Not". (lol)
Here we can see that 107 has been pretty HOT. So what do YOU think? I think it's petered out myself since it "obeyed" the "3 times Rule" TWICE.
What about the others?
I start marking off the first 5 digits that have last shown.

I'd probably play all of these just to cover myself. But I also like to see if any recent numbers have shown up close together which brings us to our 7. But that's shown so many times I'm eliminating that one. I don't notice any other clusters of 2 repeat digits so my final prediction for KS would be...100 101 103 105 106. (Now watch 102 show up) Bo-ing
Let's take it a step further and look at each of these numbers past history. 100...yikes. 5 years out. Cold cold cold. Can we safely eliminate? Mmmmm...now I'm thinking, yes?

I did notice that since getting the MID draw last Feb., activity has picked up a bit....
Of the seven appearances of the 10 pair, 4 were on MID. Balancing?
Another thought... Vsums play a part. Yes, I know, you either love vtracs or you hate them. But, statistically, vsums 7-12 are most common. So, the lower combinations don't tally as high.
so, yeah that 102 is worth covering. My money goes on the higher digits though.

This has happened in NM numbers go cold then when they do hit they go wild and then several hits. Five hit with 9,59, and then 6,68 etc.
Several repeats also.
I've looked at the vtrac stuff but it's not consistant. Sometimes it hits and then takes off weeks at a time which can be very expensive.
