One Tennessee Lottery player will become an instant millionaire after participating in the Lotterys first million-dollar grand prize drawing, to be held at 6 p.m. (CST) on June 26 at Nashvilles Opry Mills shopping mall.
A preliminary drawing to determine the three finalists who will take part in Millionaire Live! will be held at 2 p.m. Today.
Names of the three finalists will be announced once Lottery officials validate the entry tickets and contact the individuals.
Anticipation and excitement are high about this initial dvent, said Rebecca Paul, CEO and President of the Tennessee Lottery.
In addition to the $1 million grand prize, the other two lottery players will vie for cash prizes of $10,000 and $25,000.
Millionaire Live! is the first of three $1 million grand prize dvents that are part of two instant ticket games, Tennessee Millionaire and Volunteer Millionaire. By playing one of these $1 games, players have a chance to win a variety of prizes, one of which is an entry ticket into a $1 million grand prize drawing dvent.
This first dvent, which is free and open to the public, will be produced by the Tennessee Lottery and News 2/WKRN. The 30-minute program will be aired on all Lottery drawing networks throughout the state on Saturday, June 26 at the following times (times listed are local times):

All Tennessee Lottery profits will go to education programs. Most immediately, the Lottery is charged with raising at least $88 million by July 1 in order to fund scholarships for an estimated 65,000 students expected to attend Tennessee colleges and universities this fall.
Does anyone know how the prize will be paid? (cash, annuity, w/cash option)
I've got an entry in the drawing, so I'd sure like to know!
Is TN being secretive on the payout?
