  I thank all of you who wrote regarding my posting about why systems and patterns don't work.
  Some presented some interesting theories regarding the probability of certain numbers repeating within a certain number of draws. One other wrote that the question of colors of the cars passing by needed to have a "total" number of cars expected to pass in order to figure what the chances are for a repeat of the colors.
  My answer, of course, is that even if you knew how many cars were likely to pass and even if there were a definite number of colors to choose from it still would not matter with respect to how many lottery balls there are and how many you have to choose unless there was a field of perhaps five or so cars. Then the choice would be relatively easy. In the lottery games the field is not so small. Some games have you pick a "power ball" or "gold ball" or "bonus ball" from an equally large field which only heightens the odds against you.
  For example, the odds of picking all six balls correctly in the New York State pick six lottery, which uses a field of 59 numbers is 22,528,737 to 1
  In the Big Game Mega Millions game the odds are even higher against you at 135,145,290 to 1
  Not good odds at all!

  I am thinking about selling my soul. I have heard of stories of the devil doing favors in exchange for your soul. I heard Tiger Woods sold his, and I think he did. So, why not me! I need money, so I need you people to give your opinions! Is there such thing as a "devil" etc.

  of course there is the devil, he is just as real as god is. but you don't have to sell your soul to please the devil, all you have to do is reject jesus christ. that is the devils "soul" purpose. and no he doesn't have a pitchfork and a little red tail. the bible say's "what if a man gains the whole world ( example: bill gates ) yet loses his own soul. there is more than this life. eternity is what you and i should be most concerned with as this life goes by like a vapor of smoke. god is not impressed with the accomplishments of tiger woods ( god gave him the talent to do what he does anyway )god will be impressed when tiger starts giving god the credit which up till now i have not seen him do. i am in awe at tiger's abilities as i am a golfer myself. i grew up around the area that tiger grew up in and have watched his progress. there are people in life that god has placed by endowing them with certain talents and tiger is one of them. there is a god and he has a plan for eveyone's life, it's whether you want to put the effort in that it atkes to find out for yourself. if you have answers about life, about how it work's or things that you don't like about it - don't blame god, blame yourself for not taking the time to find out. he has made they way plain, you just have to play by his rules.......visiondude

  Only fools play the sucker games or limit their play to say all the numbers in ten lines balanced so most lines have a mixed bag of factors that regularly show up in a lottery drawing.
  
  Don't get so hung up on the odds of winning 100% of the time. Apply the birthday paradox to the pick-3 and you will see the odds of a box number repeating are on the order of 50% within 15 drawings. There are lots of things you can do to narrow the choices down if you look for them.
  
  I've found a lot of it is attitude when working on the numbers to play, like trying to write or compose you can't force it, better not to play some days.

  I couldn't have said it better myself,I believe in and love God and thank him every night in my prayers for what he has done for me and given me in life!!!!

  then you my friend are on the right track. there is no higher persuit than a right relationship with god. afterall, at the end of our lives, the only things that we can invest in over the course of our life that will add up to or mean anything are god and people. if you "Invest" in these two areas of your life ( god/people) you will truly be a wealthy man or woman (we can't exclude the ladies now can we ?). ever see a u-haul trailer filled with the possesions that a particular person accumulated over thier lifetime behind someone's casket? (can't take it with you when you go). unfortunately some people spend thier entire lives chasing the wrong things. "if i can just win the lottery, then i will be happy". if you are not happy now, winning the lottery will only temporarily "mask" your un-happiness. if you have your priorities straight and god "allows" you to win, then that is some pretty cool icing on your cake. so i am happy for you that you are on the right track and my hope for you is that you allow god thru your obedience to bless you the way he wants to ( whatever that may add up too, but can only mean something good). in the old testament the book of jeremiah chapter 29 ( i forget what verse ) say's : " i know the plan's that i have for you. they are not plan'S to harm you, but to give you a peace and a hope and a future". god is on our side and loves us without question but one can only "feel" or experience what that really means thru a right relationship with god thru christ. stay on the right track. you're obedience encourages others to do the same........visiondude
