  NY Lotto 6/59 may return 40%, but if you don't win the jackpot in Mega Millions the return is only about 18.3%.

  NY Lotto 6/59 returns ONLY 10% below the jackpot, vs 18.3% in Mega Millions, since MM has a 50% overall prize return.
