This is my take on the Lottery Post video questioning the "Sign your Lottery ticket!" Mantra that is prevalent in virtually all of the "Good advice," when winning the Lottery. They brought up valid points. I personally would like to add a couple of reasons that wasn't mentioned in the video.
One reason a Lottery Winner wouldn't want to sign his or her winning ticket is that they are an Illegal Immigrant and fear deportation if they sign the winning Lottery ticket. A few Illegal Immigrants have won and fearing Deportation, they asked American Citizens to collect the Winnings for them and sometimes got screwed when the American Citizen STOLE all the Winnings for themselves.
Or gave them significantly less than the Winnings were worth like the Woman who claimed about $537,000 after taxes and told her Cousin the ticket was a $20,000 Winner and gave him $13,000 claiming $7,000 went to taxes. She even gave him forged documents that claim the Winnings were $20,000. Ouch. He found out his ticket was actually a Million dollar Winner and turned her in and she was arrested and faces charges of Felony Fraud and Theft and faces up to 15 years in Prison. I'm not sure if he was an Illegal Immigrant however. I just know he wanted to be Anonymous. It was reported that about $360,000 was seized from her Bank Account and so it's implied that she already blew through about $168,000 in such a short time.
The second reason why a Lottery Winner wouldn't want to sign their winning ticket is because they are on the run. Obviously, signing their winning ticket could end up with them in Prison in a weird twist of events due to them being on the run. So they wouldn't want to risk the chance of imprisonment by signing the winning Lottery ticket.
"What's your ADDRESS?" May be the CREEPIEST question EVER asked to a Lottery Winner! O.O WTF?
At first, I found the one digit away draws kind of amusing, but now I am PISSED! 15 or 16 times I was off by just one digit in recent times!🤬 No longer find this amusing, it's making me REALLY angry now!🤬
