Greenback, I would not say that this is "Garbage" I think it's Ohio Lottery to "give back".
They always seem to do this in times of trouble.
Sort of Like a "stimulus check"?
Evening "015" paid out about twice as much than the Midday "015".
So, some are hitting "big"!
They have been "generous" on lots of P3's, P4's and P5's lately.
We all just have to figure out what "number" will be next!
And play them "Heavy"? But don't go overboard.
I agree that back to back straight repeats are not "garbage". Greenback, like my grandfather, and countless others believe, or at least think that the state picks its draws. Why because it seems absurd mathematically for this to occur? Players want a truly random draw, yet won't accept the rules defining "randomness".
But you think the state does pick its draws, and in this case, with the purpose of "giving back".
If the state picks its draws, one would assume the only reason to "cheat" us would be to reduce daily payouts? If that is so, then why is their a limit on how much money can be bet on a number for a single draw? I went to play Quad 5s last night, but they were "sold out". The only reason you limit the amount on a number is to protect the state from paying out too much on a draw. But if you, as the state, picks what you draw, then their is no need to limit a numbers play.
Secondly, if people are still in doubt, since they believe randomness means "it could be any number but the last one drawn"; go buy a set of three ten-sided dice, and spend some time rolling draws. You will roll back to back straights on occasion, and other "anomalies".
When did everyone forget what "randomness" actually is?

I'm not trying to start a debate about the numbers drawn through Ohio lottery and I'm not saying that they are cheating. I just find it very odd with some of "the garbage" that gets drawn. As for the comment about it paying out more for the evening draw, I believe that is partly because a lot of people don't play the midday draw because it isn't drawn on live tv. However, some people don't realize that you can see every draw on YouTube. Also, some people play their evening draw only tickets before the midday draw is drawn.
I certainly would never play the same number drawn for midday as my evening picks. Does it sometimes happen, absolutely it does but what is the likelihood? Also, if I played the number drawn for midday for the evening draw every day for a whole year, how many times would I win? To me it isn't worth it.
