  There are usually 104 PowerBall drawings per year.  (Some years there are 105)

  Typically there are only about 6 or 7 drawings per year when the jackpot is won. That means there is no jackpot winner in 98 to 99 of those 104/105 drawings.  No "new news" here, this info shouldn't surprise anybody, but it does put things in somewhat of a different perspective.  G5

  About 8 times a year. It's really a suckers bet. The odds to win are ridiculous but there are people who actually crack the code. So we play in hopes of being that lucky person.
