I read some time ago that the Oregon legislature was considering allowing lottery winners to remain anonymous. I live in Idaho and would make the trip to play there if it passed, but I haven't been able to find any updates. Anyone know?
One thing that might make me hesitate is that the Oregon Lottery is now paying prizes between $600 and $20,000 in Elan prepaid cards. Their website suggests that if you want cash, to use an ATM. Last I knew there was a limit to how much you can withdraw per transaction from an ATM and I'd be really annoyed if I had to withdraw $20K from multiple ATM's (because I'm pretty sure no ATM has $20K cash) then deposit it in my own bank account.
