  I think it's going to get bigger and bigger. Eventually someone will win the jackpot of over $700 million dollars in Mega Millions!

  I hope that one $2 ticket is the only one that matches all 5 numbers plus the PB to win the largest PB jackpot in United States history of over $2 Billion Dollars!   It's growing! However Mega Millions has a weak spot at the $400-$499 million range. It rarely goes higher than that so a few more draws.

  I agree. It's currently at $256 million dollars for the drawing for Tuesday July 3rd Original Bey!

  Labor day is too far IMHO....I am leaning towards the last 14 days of July (17-31 range). 5 draws from now, should be in the upper hundreds of millions, maybe even reach that elusive Billion mark.... To me, it seems when the PB reaches that 100 -150 million point, the attention spotlight drifts towards that particular game.... But,I could be wrong  ..................................Again.......................................

  Mega Millions rolls over so slowly to get to the billion dollar annuity mark it would take quite a few rollovers. That's why I asked about Labor Day. Historically for this game July is a hot month for wins. Let's see how it plays out. Hopefully we get an official LP winner across one of these games at the next win. One who is willing to send a shout out to the community in a pre-written statement without the need for a press conference.

  I went back to look at the draws this year to see how many it took for Richard Wahl (NJ) to win back on March 30th. It took a grand total of 24 to reach the $533 Million mark. We are now at #17 on this run($256 Million).. Draw 17 of his run was at $265 Million. My estimate of it getting to a Billion in that time frame isn't accurate using his win as an indicator. From his 17th draw, it was going up about $30 Million +/- through draw 23 at $458 Million.That last draw was the big jump of $75 Million. It wouldn't be until July 27th to equal his same number of draws.. It would be interesting to see the $$ jumps it would generate for each draw to get it to the Billion mark should it get past the $500 Million point.

  I concur with you on one of our fellow posters having the winning ticket....

  What would the average LP Member do with hundreds of millions of dollars in cash?  New cars, new homes, better clothing, better food, celebrations with friends and family! Then there are the investments. Stocks, Bonds, real estate, businesses, classic cars or automobiles,

  Past couple of weeks, there have been news articles about the rich and loaded suing their financial managers. Not sure who will win/lose in these cases but they are interesting. Not sure what is customary in the world of big bucks money managing but the fees seem rather excessive.  First, there is Lisa Presley who blew thru her $100 million inheritance.  The financial managers she hired were charging her, if I remember correctly, $4.7 million. Seems excessive.  Then there is Johnny Depp and his battle with his managers.  A lot of the complaints seem to be that the manager didnt stop them from reckless spending, i.e., protecting them from themselves.  Then there is David Milch, creator of Deadwood who gambled away his $100 million fortune. His managers informed him numerous times that he was squandering his cash and would be broke. However, his wife is suing them claiming that they owed a fiduciary duty to her and failed to inform her. 

  Anyway, it seems that you have to choose the best firm to manage your money and the best people working at the firm to work for you. There's always the problem of:

  Being talked into high risk investments.

  Being ripped off out right which happened to a lot of people in the Bernie Madoff scandal. 

  Remember!  If it it is too good to be true, it's not going to be true. Madoff promised and seemed to deliver huge profits from investments when what he was really doing is robbing them blind.
