I tend to sacrifice leaving out the most recent numbers when using 30 of the numbers but will often play all of them on California Fantasy 5 by using the most overdue number twice to fill up the 40th spot. I have a pattern of splitting the numbers into two blocks in a way that seems to satiate the "random" by limiting consecutive(s) and after a month or so I slide/shift the the pattern down and re-split them to get two new blocks of 20 numbers.

Since it's payday for me today I'm playing both the 6 line format (I posted my prediction for this one) and the 8 line format using all numbers as well as the SuperLottoPlus 8 Lines (posted this one too)

In the case of the SLplus it's the exact same pattern and half split of numbers but the only detail is that the excess numbers (the most recent 7) are placed in a remainder quarantine that I use to slide them in once a draw occurs.Serpentine like the slider yo!.

I came up with this to maximize my chances of trying to get a 3/5 or hopefully a 4/5 soon more frequently. My reasoning is that with 3 to 4 lines to each block of numbers the numbers have only so many places to go up or down as each draw happens.

I got a 3/5 on the second line I recommended (almost a 4/5 as the #24 appeared on the third line of the first block) for 5/19's draw and my new number placements are up for tomorrow's draw of California Fantasy5 including 4 lines of the alternate set I use. At the moment I can only post 10 lines.

Any questions feel free to ask or to request a detailed step by step and I'll type it up and post it on this thread. I'm confident that I've passed the test, trial and error phase as I'm comfortable with it.

The only problem I see when splitting the field is the odds of getting all the winning numbers on one side of the split or the other is exactly the same as the draw coming up all odd or all even or all low or all high, which is like one percent of the draws.

I see what you mean and yes I'll admit it's potentially a handicap for jackpots (especially when repeats are prevalent) and I do realize that even if three or four numbers appear on one block of numbers it doesn't guarantee they will be on the same line. At the same time I also like using it because I hoard Freeplays and in the last two weeks I've won at least one free play (and one additional 3/5) in 11 of the last 14 draws.

Tutorial for Pick5 Splitting All Numbers

Just as the numbers appear (California Fantasy 5) on the slip. Jot them down on a piece of paper or on your wordpad:

*01-02-03-*04
05-*06-*07-08
*09-10-*11-12
13-*14-15-*16
*17-*18-19-20
21-22-*23-*24
*25-26-*27-28
29-*30-31-*32
33-*34-*35-36
*37-38-39-*01

Note that:
A) 01 appears twice because as of today it is the most overdue number.
B) * numbers go into one block and the others to another so you get your split.
C) The pattern, or whatever pattern you come up with, you can slide if you feel the blocks are underperforming.
D) If your state's version of pick five has less numbers you just fill up the empty spots with Overdues, or exclude the excess numbers if you plan on playing only 30 of the numbers.

So we have...
A: 1,4,6,7,9,11,14,16,17,18,23,24,25,27,30,32,34,35,37
B: 2,3,5,8,10,12,,13,15,19,20,21,22,26,28,29,31,33,36,38,39

From here I arrange my numbers in the simplest way possible by going according to skips and ranks so I don't second guess like a madman.
(Up to down from fewest skips to most overdue)
Currently the 6 lines format are as follows:

Block A
Recent Remainders 18, 24, 27, 23

line a: 30-14-17-06-32
line b: 37-04-11-34-35
line c: 07-16-09-25-01

Block B
Recent Remainders 08, 33, 36, 22, 38

------------------
line d: 02-39-19-20-10

And the 8 line format using everything available:

line a: 18-30-04-09-01
line b: 24-37-16-06-32
Line c: 27-07-17-34-35

line f: 33-02-05-31-10
line g: 36-12-13-20-28

When a draw occurs all I do, so I don't, again, start losing my mind figuring out where to place numbers that get drawn, as an example, lets say all 5 numbers drawn appeared on Block B of the 8 line format but scattered 02-03-05-08-10...

22-21-19-xx-29

Draw a grid 4x5 and start to slide the numbers in a serpentine fashion so it looks like this:

*08-*10-38-13-20
*02-33-12-19-26
*05-36-21-15-28
*03-22-39-31-29

In this way the most recent numbers in which ever, 6 or 8 line, format you set up the most recent according to skips will keep on the left as the overdues will keep to the right.

Nothing on the Six line set up though. I just threw in those last four lines on the last minute before I headed out to town and almost didn't because I stick to using 30 but now with this one I can play both 6 and the 8 line sets tomorrow.

Basically number placing after a draw like here the lines I played are from Left to Right

If it just so happens that all five numbers had appeared when it comes time to reposition them they should look like this Rather than just switching the positions of the numbers that were drawn with each other.

Line 1: xx-38-39-15-26

Line 4: 27-09-31-26-04-28-*29

Line 5: 08-18-06-23-20-29-*12

Your ALTERNATIVE method (and probably better now that I'm looking at it) is to quarantine THREE numbers and use 4 LINES if you want to eliminate having to spend an extra dollar or two.

After you slide in the quarantined numbers and decided which from the latest draw you will slide in to your lines for the next draw it should look like this:

C) 28-08-18-06-23-04-29

D) 02-10-21-01-16-07-30

and the new quarantine numbers will now be the three that you chose to exclude 27-09-19

No problem.

I'm considering adding prediction lines for other state pick5's just as a way to see which one gives a 4/5 result first. As soon as I get another day off or a whole week I'll be looking through what every state has to offer and hone in on what changes I can make to my stratagem here in the California lotto.
