This is my findings, results, and PERSONAL interpretation of what I have found from what I have observed. In no way are my findings Intended to disparage, or to trivialize, or even overrate ANY other system that is using the TRAP/BOX/CAGE/WIDGET to produce Pick 4 results in ANY state.
To reiterate my background in Gaming, I have been involved in Gambling every day of my life for over 24+ years which covers more than half my life. I have served as a Gaming Director/Senior Manager for the better part of my working service dealing entirely with ODDS, PAYOUTS, Gaming Regulation, and Handicapping. All of MY opinions are based on Real World experience and extensive knowledge of Gambling. I am in No Way a computer guy or very versed in Math but the aforementioned areas I am considered an Expert in my fields.
That being said let's get to the meat and potatoes. I conducted trail TRAP BOXES for 16 states at LP member's request and also 1 Canadian territory. My overall stats were 31 correct boxes (not counting several times when box TRAPS HIT twice) and 18 failures, which gives me a success rate of roughly 63.27% which is a lot lower than I first theorized at 80%. That was with the caveat that any triples or quads were automatically bust the the trap boxes wide open. If you look at your individual states drawing statistics you could calculate how often trips and quads come in your PK4s, this ties into why my prediction was around 80% success but when doing multiple states with different percentages a lower number should have been more expected.
My overall thesis will state that these type of set ups give a FALSE POSITIVE, and that would include any of the following set ups that I have seen.
Single Boxes 4795 1978
7861 6975
2297 4897
1895 (with three or four lines 12-16 digits)
OR the double box layout which I used in this test run.
1597
2579
4603
9638
4501

Let me qualify my answer, I will start by setting up a box for you in this manner that may be easier to see what is going on, again this is my own interpretation done only with stats from LP, my background knowledge and a inquisitive nature to understand how these constructs appear to be working if at all.
Lets set up a TRAP BOX to look like this:
0123
4567
8912
Now you may say this is an oversimplification of the boxes but is it really? When you come across set ups similar to the above 3 examples I have shown, first take a look at how many different digits are present, I have noticed on average at least eight. That would only leave four digits that could be doubles or tripled or even one quad. If the number set drawn had no repeat digits which seem to take place almost half the time depending on your state the BOX can not miss showing a winner, we will get to where the numbers appear within the BOX shortly. Now having more than one BOX set increases that chance by having 24 total digits to work with now.
So the next question is this and actually out of all the people that PMed me directly only 2 asked this ALL Important Question, which sets within the TRAP do you play, that is the million dollar question isn't it, with 12 digits and say 3 repeating (math people help me out) there is somewhere in the neighborhood of 160-200 different combos.
So lets look at this example of the double trap box layout which I was using for this TEST. I will set them up like this easy to see example, I will discuss shortly how I set mine up in what I posted to give the best possible chance to improve your chances of catching something in my humble opinion.
0123
4567
8901
2345
6789
0123
Now the evening draw came in (state X) and fell (7146). Is this a WIN?????? Depends what you consider, some of the numbers touch, but how many different combos did you play to pull out those numbers? If there are four different digits if would pretty hard for the BOX not to have the combinations but ONE of the main questions I wanted answered was which combo do they play? Straight across all three lines make the most sense and that was how I constructed ALL my trap boxes to serve as a guide, and only one of the very first boxes had ALL four digits across the center of the trap. If there were a double digit that came and it was not a (0,1,2, or 3) in the above example then this would not work and you can see now how trips and quads will in no way work. You could set up the Box with less single digits and more double or triple numbers but that would cover less possible combinations and I have seen that all four digits being different is a fairly high percentage occurrence.
Thank you for coming this far we are almost home. Now this lets go a little deeper into picking the numbers to use to construct the boxes, again I used no computer program, no darts at a board or anything that produced anything randomly, I used ONLY stats found on LP for each given state. I was most concerned with SUMS and NUMBER Frequency. The boxes were set up accordingly giving the best possible combinations with the two parameters just mentioned. That is how I was able to produce two sets of boxes in approximately 5 minutes. So any number that should repeat in any sequence 2 or less times based on a frequency that exceeds the normal excepted number of times based on the number of draws chosen were used as digit spaces were available in the box not withstanding the use of as many different digits as possible I needed to use.
In conclusion, like I stated before I believe these type of set up gives and or displays a FALSE POSITIVE, but depending on YOUR criteria of what a WIN is that would be a different conclusion of course. One last example before I go.
Lets look at this example: 7610
7823
4995
4713
9702
6588
Now the set drawn was (7479), both boxes hit but this to me it is more of a winner and a realistic chance of producing a winner from the digits offered. All the digits touch one another, there is no spaces or shot gun effect having a different correct number is multiple rows and not touching. I was trying to find a correct winning number inside ANY box system that could be played in a realistic number of combinations, that gave me both a reasonable amount to wager on any one draw and could produce a return on investment I would be comfortable with over a set amount of draws.
Psychology plays a HUGE part in picking numbers to play in any type lottery game and that fact is often over looked or not considered at all. As humans we all search out patterns to explain things, looking at clouds and seeing shapes or animals or even looking at wallpaper or floor tiles and seeing faces or shapes our brains are wired for recognition, this simple fact goes back to early times of man and is what helped keep us alive from the strange things in this new world.
I am not looking for agreement or disagreement on all that I have stated, like most people on this site I am just trying to better myself and others in becoming BETTER Lottery players, Wining More on LESS Bet.
I am more than happy to answer ANY private messages sent to me with regards to anything I have just written in my small novel. I will do my very best to answer EVERY question you may have for me. Please just allow me time to get to all the questions with responses. BEST OF LUCK to ALL, information is key to winning EVERY game played, the more you know the better you will do with the understanding that what you are looking at is not misleading or simple misinformation, you will have to decide for yourself when that applies. Thanks to everyone for their interest and support in this very interesting test, I thank you all,
Raymond
