Gap Strategy - Using Hot PID followers to make
predictions.
Those of you who are using Gap Strategy might want
to consider using Hot Position Identification (HotPIDs)
to make play choices, instead of or in unison with
the Alpha Choice method.
I've been keeping records on the HotPIDs stream for one
of the 4 prediction workouts to determine if the
individual PIDs have repeating characteristics that
are useful.
Here in information setting up a Hot PID lFollowers log.
On a piece graph paper turned sideways, write
the headers for F1, F2, F3, F4 and F5. Leave
a couple columns open for future use as more
and more data is collected.
The right side of the page make 5 headers as above
Directly below the header enter F1, F2, F3, F4
F5 L1 L2 L3 L4 L5.
This the inventory, so leave a couple of columns between
each header for expansion.
On a second sheet of graph paper, write headers
for L1, L2, L3, L4 and L5. Then set up the inventory
section with same headers.
Begin the logging of data using the Historical PIDs.
You will switch to the HOT PID stream after the
logging is complete. Note: This is necessary because
the Hot PID stream only has a limited amount of information.
Where is the Historical PIDs found??
Well, if you are using these workouts and logging data,
you know that determining the PID is made when the lottery
numbers are logged.
For example, in a #NR workout, if the lottery number is
a 2, you count the number of action cells - cells with
unmarked numbers) to the left of the 2 already in the stream.
You know that Fixed PID for #NR is F1 to F5 and L1 to L5.
Therefore, counting to left is a mental process.
"L5, L4, L3, etc until the 2 is reached. If the 2 occurs at
F2, the PID is F2. The 2 is marked off (obliterated) and
F2 is placed above the remaining 2 at the end of the line.
In this way, you have a running list of the Fixed, or,
Historical PIDs.
You are, of course, keeping a Hot PID stream on your
worksheet. You would place the F2 in the open cell to
right of the last entry.
You then start counting from the left. When you
reach the F2, the number is converted to a letter,
A, B, C. or R.
A refresher, the first 3 PIds in the Hot PID stream
are 'As', the next 3 are 'Bs', the next 3 are 'Cs'. If
the count is ten, it is an R, or repeat.
You then update the Historical PID inventory, adding
a mark on the F2 line.
As I've said before, this theory, scheme, or workout
was designed to predict numbers for a wheel. But,
it can also be used for Pick3 and Pick 4.
In practice, you would decide which workout to use.
You get the Alpha ID Before and After Triples list.
And, if you have one compiled, you get the
Hot PIDs Followers list.
When I play Pick 3, I use the Alpha ID Before&After
Triples list for 4 numbers, and the Hot PID Followers
list for 4 additional, non-reptitive, numbers. I
usually play 4 Alpha ID sets and 4 PIDs Follower
sets.
You would then check and identify the last Hot PID.
For example, if the last PID is a F4, the question
becomes - what next?
Referring to your Hot PID data for F4, you can
determine which PIDs have followed F4 in the past.
You can also refer to the inventory under the
header F4 and determine what PIDs have come up
the most or are missing.
Using this data, you make a GUESS.
If you think L5 is a good choice, write it down
on the worksheet and proceed with the next
choice, etc, until you have as many PIDS
you need for the game you are playing.
DO NOT USE REPEAT PIDS. There is only one
space available on the Hot PID Choice line for
each of the 10 numbers, if you are using the
workout for a Pick 3 game, or any lottery
with 10 numbers.
Of course, there are only 9 available cells if
you are generating 'A' numbers for a wheel.
Hope you find this new technique useful.
I'm always available for questions.
