ok that would be nice to win the lottery, sure you have more money then you know what to do with, but winning the lottery can be bad, yes it can be bad. having millions of dollars is not really that great sure you can get whatever you want, but have you every stopped and thought about like just having to take care of all that money...having millions of dollars is not all that great......do you think rich people(like Bill Gates) are really that happy? or more happy than you or me just because they have millions of dollars? i don't think so...have you really every thought about what you would do if you won the lottery? i don't think you guys really think about that. you hear a lot about people who win the lottery and it ruins their lives and they wish they never won in the first place.

if your smart and don't have negative impulses then you'll have it made in the shade.good for people to win it when they are a little older and more settled down so they don't kill themselves or go crazy.if i won i'd go to a beach somewhere for about a month and sit in the shade, relax and read a good book while my family plays in the sand.then i'd go real slow and take it easy and enjoy not working while i figure out what i want to do.its hard if you make it hard.common sense will solve a lot of problems.that and self control.

There is no doubt in my mind that Bill Gates, Ophra, and most of the others in the Fortune 500 are HAPPY people; and that tons of money is the reason; either as primary or underlying. I realize that they are HAPPY everytime they get on their private jet to see Paris, China, or whatever, or throw a two-million dollar birthday party for theirself. I see it whenever I realize they have the best medica and dentall care money can buy, which prevents most of the suffering you and I are doomed to. I have never heard of someone in the Fortune 500 freezing to death to save a buck on fuel, or dying of heatstroke to save a buck on electricity. I realize they are HAPPY when they don't have dual jobs or to shop sales so their daughter can have braces and manicures, and the rest of the "beauty treatment" several times a week; so that aging is not a problem. I realize their happiness when they can drive their car and not worry about whether it will make it to the next block before stalling out. I see it when they wear the best clothes that can be made, out of the best material known to man. I see it when they never have to think about purchasing a gift for their spouse, they can afford it all. I see it when their children get the best education available, with personal tutors. I see them HAPPY when they can afford to give their children the security and pleasures of life, knowing the next 10000000000000 generations will have all ther benefits of money.
I don't see the down side of idiots. Mt parents raised me to think before I run into the wall, and to check the depth of the pool. I know that drugs is not only NOT the answer, it isn't even a mediocre excuse. I know that to get something out of life, you have to first put something into it. I know that without America, there would not be a word called freedom. I passed these onto my children and they have a high value of their life. They were taught responsibilities and consequences.
Life is what you make it, not what you are afraid of. Worry about the downside, plan on the upside. Otherwise you will surely be a victum of your own fears; or someone elses.

your right on a lot of points.i definitely see the sunny side of having a lot of wealth and all the privleges and advantages.there are definitely more pros than cons.only a fool would waste the golden opportunities that come with having millions of dollars.i would make the most of it.it makes me angry to see someone like jack whittaker lose his granddaughter to drugs, get drunk driving charges, get into scuffles at strip clubs, hiding a half a million dollars in his car, etc. this man had very little sense or self control.lots of people would've made a better shot than he did with the money he won.i know i'd be happy and content plus i would stay out of trouble.......

To answer the original question: Many times I can't sleep the night of a drawing. I get so excited thinking of the possibilities winning the jackpot would give me. I think it is definitely worth the dollar or two a person spends to have that special dream door a couple of times a week. To win a jackpot, even one of the size powerball is right now, would change my life for the better, along with my childrens' and their children.
If a person is afraid winning will ruin their life, they probably shouldn't play.

We get a little anxious, but by the night before, I try not to think too positive b/c reality is about to sink in the next day that all the dreaming during the week..is still that, just a dream. It's just bad getting so anxious and hopeful, just to be let down. But it can & DOES happen to anybody, so you never know when your time will come.

Dreaming about being a zillionaire makes me sleep like a 12 year old. Happy, without a worry in the world. Serves no purpose to worry about getting cancer, and serves no purpose to stay up at night worrying about something you have zero control over - like the lottery.

I sleep very well.
If you don't, then you should.....because you have no control over the lottery and odds are none of us will ever win it anyway.
It will be the poor sap that had to go to the quickie mart to get the milk and had a few bucks in change and saw the PB sign, then asked for a couple of QPs. HE will be the one that hits it.
He never expected to or never gave it any thought..

We expect too much...
EXACTLY! Life doesn't evolves around us, we evolve around it!
