DC man sues the lottery after incorrect numbers posted on website would have won him $340 million
When the case is dismissed, his attorney will probably have to sue for his fees.
The complaint puts forward zero evidence to survive a motion to dismiss. The complaint relies solely on the wrong numbers being posted to prove fraud, etc. They even ask for punitive damages. Lol lol

Ga Lottery is a fraud. Only four times this month, they have paid out over a half million dollars. The average payout is not even reaching two hundred and fifty thousand dollars. No triples in almost four months . This is their new way of paying for the HOPE SCHOLARSHIP. 100 percent funded. Just look at the way the algorithm is setup. Digits staying out of position more than 10 days on each draw. The heavy rotation of two digit repeats. Save your money. This year is starting off just like last ye

Store-specific lottery ticket paper?
Today while getting a Powerball ticket at a Quick Trip, I asked why their fast-processing machine wasn't working yesterday. The clerk said it was because the machine ran out of paper, and they had to wait on the lottery service to deliver more paper that was specific for that store.
What I found interesting is that the clerk said the paper was store specific. Maybe as fraud prevention in case someone figures out how to thermally print a fake ticket after a draw?

Florida LLC revealed to have claimed $1.6 billion Mega Millions lottery jackpot
There is nothing suspicious about winning a prize in one part of a state and claiming it in another part of the state. Waiting is also not suspicious because they wanted to make sure they had everything in order. In most states one's name has to match identically on both the ID and social security card when claiming a prize at lottery headquarters. A lot of people don't realize this until they get to headquarters and have to file paperwork for new ID's and social security cards with matching nam

California man asks clerk to choose a lottery game for him, ends up picking out a ticket worth $10M
Since the clerk choose the ticket for me at my request I would tip nicely, it was a life changing amount. Your are going to pay 37% in Taxes in total based only on the 5.8 Million which equates to 3,654,000.00 after all the Federal Tax is paid. I would Tip the clerk 654,000.00 they will be responsible for any Taxes from that, it removes me from Tax Fraud allegations. California is very expensive so I figure 654 Thousand is not a whole lot in that State but better than zero. The store that receiv

Most definitely, as long you post they make sure they don't drop those numbers. They will allow posters to hit once a week, but that's about it. Figured this out about 6 months after the fraud became CEO. It's pretty easy to weed out who works in some capacity for the lottery vs regular players....Regulars rarely post winning hits even if you post 100 numbers a draw. So, if you're broke and don't want to miss your number then post that number on every lottery forum/group...they will make sure it

Florida man arrested after buying $31,000 worth of lottery tickets using company credit card
Here in KY the lotto machines accept both Debit and CC. Some mini-mart stores here and Indiana will not take CC, only Debit. End of the road takes both as well as some in Indiana.
Am wondering if lottery guys get burned on CC if somewhat disputes the charges whereas Debit comes rigfht out of your account? Just think if some bozo disputed CC charges after using it then won the lotto. The lottery would be all over that like honey to a bear...and perhaps would refuse to pay out due to the

Ohio Lottery cashing services restored after 'cybersecurity incident' in December
Weeks after a cybersecurity incident at the Ohio Lottery made it next to impossible to cash in winning tickets over $599, the Lottery said all options are again available.
The downside is that The Ohio Lottery confirmed that an unauthorized third-party likely gained access to customer and retailer information.
The Lottery announced on Jan. 10 that it resumed allowing players to cash in winning tickets for $599, weeks after the agency fell victim to a Dec. 24 cybersecurity incident where
