Thanks for the update. Stuff happens when old, outdated technology is used. We had IBM cards with chads from the 1970's in High school. I think the class was called Automated Data Processing but not 100% sure. It was fun.

I originally figured the old cards should still work because the only change was adding the 3rd drawing. Even though the game itself is the same for each drawing the multi-draw options changed, so we got new slips and machines that won't accept the old ones. FWIW, I don't know about all states, but in PA the clerk can override the slip and print tickets for any number of drawings. Based on that I've go to figure the only requirement to make the old slips unworkable is policy rather than techn

That's really disappointing. In matters like this, a lottery's response should always be to try and understand what has changed, why it is important to players, and consideration of changing back. From a technology perspective, there is no reason to remove that option. The only reason I can think of would be if the option causes some players confusion when filling out a betslip but that seems pretty far-fetched to me.

IMHO this certainly does not hurt the Virginia lottery very much. Folks can register to play on-line if they so choose. I find it amazing in my simple mind that just crossing the Ohio river into Indiana smartphone technology knows you left Kentucky and cannot play on line. Just like when we cross the Ambassador Bridge into Canada, the phone automatically switches to my beloved Metric system from the antiquated Imperial system. Anybody that knows me can attest to my love of the Metric system.

I have to take off Forecast #21 since it won yesterday. I'm looking for more forecasts to add. I'm being real strict about choosing the best conditions to play my Level 3 strategies. I basically have a top 5 minimum conditions/parameters to play my strategies and I'm only playing the top 2. They are rare. The smallest solution I could find is that the treasure chest is shut with 156,849 locks and each pirate holds 4,753 non-duplicate keys. The statement of the problem is equivalent to The chest cannot be opened if and only if three or more pirates are missing. This means there could be one lock for each size-three subset of the 99 pirates. Each pirate in that trio should hold a key to that lock.
