The Megaplier multiplier number is chosen at random by computerized drawing in Texas at around the same time the Mega Millions numbers are drawn in Georgia. Megaplier was invented by the Texas Lottery as an add-on available only in that state, but was later available in all of the Mega Millions states except California starting in 2010. The Megaplier continues to be drawn in Texas. Got that from USAMega.

As pointed out in another thread California (correct spelling, you obviously never got past 5th grade) is number 10 in number of PB winners. Indiana is #1 in PB winners.

Somebody posted one of the social sites the top ten Powerball pots and where they were won. California had five of the top ten, including the top four. On the news the night of the draw the reporter said the officials told him about 82% is won by QP and only 18% were personal picks. G

As, I said up top, in the other winning post, I always get my sister Catarina'(Cat) birth year, few x a year, just showing it here, but, did not get it straight (yet) in california or East coast, but, maybe one day .... + all good luck to you all, bye for now. Many years ago (in the days of Lotto 6/49 in California) syndicates would send runners with batches of filled out play slips to lottery retailers in an attempt to cover the spread when the jackpot exceeded 60M or so (IIRC). It's one HELL of a logistical lift (especially using the lottery equipment of the day). I don't believe (and I could be wrong - but don't think so) anyone was ever successful. Power Ball and Mega Millions make the biggest jumps. Jumps or increases are a function of the Play volume (I think). California Super Lotto used to make bigger jumps. Curious to know if the Game Play is down along with the relatively small fixed 1 million jump recently enacted. Which came first?
