Powerball

The biggest current lottery jackpot in the world is getting bigger.

There were no Powerball jackpot winners Saturday but 839,469 players across the nation won a total of more than $7.7 million in prizes in America's Game.

Because no one correctly matched all six numbers in Saturday's drawing the jackpot will grow to an estimated $162 million. That would rank as the 6th largest Powerball jackpot ever.

This is the third time this year and the fourth time in the last eleven months that Powerball has crossed over the $100 million mark.

The cash option for the Wednesday, October 22 drawing will be an estimated $84.2 million.

The numbers drawn were: 22, 25, 33, 34, 35 and the Powerball was 14. The Power Play multiplier was 5.

Twelve players correctly matched the 5 white numbers and won $100,000. The tickets were sold in Arizona, Delaware, Indiana, Kansas, Louisiana (3), New Hampshire, Rhode Island, South Carolina (2), and West Virginia. Both winning South Carolina players purchased the Power Play option. By spending an extra dollar, those players multiplied their prize by 5 for a total win of $500,000!

Fifty-seven players matched 4 white numbers plus the Powerball and won $5,000. Seven of those players purchased the Power Play option, giving them a total win of $25,000.

More than 77,000 winning Powerball players multiplied their prize by 5 Saturday. They were able to do that by purchasing the Power Play option for one dollar.

This current jackpot run started with the Wednesday, September 3 drawing. The drawing on Saturday night was the 14th consecutive draw without being hit. More than 6.2 million Powerball players across the nation have won a total of more than $57 million in cash prizes since this jackpot run started in early September.

Players purchased more than 33 million tickets between Thursday and Saturday night.
