JEFFERSON, Ohio — A lottery official says a winning ticket for the Mega Millions lottery jackpot worth $99 million has been sold at a gas station in northeastern Ohio.
Ohio Lottery spokeswoman Marie Kildane says the winning jackpot ticket for Friday's drawing was sold at Speedway in Jefferson, 10 miles from the Pennsylvania border. She says the jackpot has been accumulating since July 5.
Kildane says the winner can claim the prize beginning Monday because lottery offices are closed for the weekend.
The winning numbers in Friday's drawing were 6, 24, 28, 33, and 42, with Mega ball 19. The Megaplier was 3.
The Mega Millions multi-state lottery game is played in 41 states, the District of Columbia, and the U.S. Virgin Islands. The odds of winning the jackpot were 1 in more than 175 million.
