Largest jackpot in more than seven months
The jackpot for tonight's multi-state Mega Millions lottery draw is $145 million, the most since May 4th.
The lump-sum cash payout of tonight's jackpot is $91.8 Million, if the winner decides to take the whole thing at once.
Tonight's draw, set for 11 p.m. Eastern Time, will be the 12th since the last time a ticket was sold that matched all six numbers drawn.
The odds of matching all five numbers and the Mega number is 1 in 175,711,536.
Mathematicians have long said there is no advantage to purchasing a ticket at an outlet where previous big-money winning tickets have been sold. The odds of a big-money winning ticket sold at a particular outlet is wholly dependent on the number of tickets sold there.
The Mega Millions game is played in 41 states and the District of Columbia.
The winning numbers will be published at USA Mega (www.usamega.com) minutes after the drawing takes place.

I work in Illinois and my co-workers and I play. We all put in $1.00 each. Today we played $44.00 Hope we get a win.
I have a handful of tickets tonight so I sure hope at least one is the one.
I think I need to buy a few more though, just to be sure.
Really hoping a state hits it this time that has never hit before, you know, like TN.

I looked back and the 2nd highest jackpot this year was $144 million won in Texas so it'd be cool if I (or someone else from Texas) won since how close the numbers would be.
Was going out for a drive here in a bit and may pick up one more ticket.

In my neighborhood there's a busy supermarket and five smaller outlets that sell tickets. For as long as I've played I've gone to the smaller outlets because the supermarket has already sold several winners, and I keep thinking the other places are due. I think it's time to rethink that theory.
