prediction posters all states and excel

four4me's avatar - gate1

Here is a little something I've been trying to do when I get a chance. It takes me way to long to do this because I am not very good working with the excel 98 program but with my limited skill I made this rendering of today's predictions. First I separated all the pick 3's from the pick 4's. then I edited everybody's prediction post that had duplicate numbers (boxed) except for one number. I eliminated all the triples because I don't need them for this idea. What I am looking for is people who might predict the same numbers. And I colored them in yellow so they are easier for me to see. I look at my state and see if any of the numbers might be good to play for my state.

One main problem I have is by eliminating all of the people who posted the same numbers boxed. I may be eliminating a potential match with somebody's else's pick. However this is just a sample of the work I have been trying and it needs much improvement. Some days I am able to find good picks for my state because many prediction posters are doing real good here. As well as other states. I started on this when there were 26 people's posted numbers. And a few more people posted after that. It took almost 2 hrs to get this far. I tried to post this before noon but for some reason I couldn't get it to send to a post. If any of you excel experts see a use for this I might be able to explain what I hope to accomplish by doing this and I need to figure a way to do it easier and faster. Pick 3 midday seems to be the best selections to work with. I have done it with pick 4 also but again because of the time factor in getting the results I'm looking for I am barley able to finish before lunch time. I hope this idea helps somebody. Another thing i need to figgure out is how to  make excel find the comparison boxed numbers. So i don't miss out on a potential pick to play. Below is what I came up with for today.

four4me, I know you had been working on this for a while and I tried to do it on paper myself. Its very hard and time consuming so I hope that someone out there can give you a hand with it and help you find an easier way. That would be great. There's alot of folks on here that could probably help with this. They seem to know quite a bit, not only about numbers, but also computer programs from reading their posts. Good Luck.  Thanks for the hard work.

 Blackie

567 was the only number that made the yellow section but quite a few independent boxed numbers made it to the winners circle. I just made a quick sheet of the numbers that fit the above work. Blackie if I could communicate with someone that knows how to use excel real good. Explain to them what I'm trying to accomplish then we all could benefit from it because we could post the results before noon. I know it won't work for everybody every day. But my thinking is it will work for everybody sometime during the month. A combinated pick 3 number is a good hit.  12 o:clock is the cutoff time for posters so i only have about 15 minutes to make the sheet if i want to use everybody's numbers for midday. Mean while i'll keep stabbing at the excel program. Even though it may be crude they way i'm going about it the results will speak for themselves.

four4me's avatar - gate1
Looking at my work sheet for Thursday I found that about 5 hits were in the yellow and 5 more outside the yellow section with people who had posted boxed numbers. I have to go the doctors today so I won't be able to make a sheet for midday today. I might have found a person who can help me make an excel program to do this worksheet. and if everything works out this may be the best Christmas ever. I will also apply this strategy to the pick 4 games. So in effect this might be the next best thing since hot wings.

Have any excel users/programers looked at this sheet I made and have any suggestions as to how I might improve on it.

Four4me , Good Luck at the doctor. I went yesterday.

Blackie hey thanks for the well wishes. I had to get a CT scan on my brain and I asked the radiation tech if he saw any hidden numbers up there if he would write them down for me. He said i didn't have nuthin up there just empty space. LOL

It would seem that no body's interested in my attempt to make this chart of mine cause I haven't gotten any responses except from you. Maybe I didn't explain it right or they already have something going that is better than what I came up with. Seems to me people who are playing would be jumping all over this.

I thought it might have been this sentence that keep people from replying so I'll try and explain. One main problem I have is by eliminating all of the people who posted the same numbers boxed. I may be eliminating a potential match with somebody's else's pick. What I mean by this sentence is I don't delete or omit that persons picks I just narrow them down to one pick. Some people post numbers like 123-123-123-123-123-123 or 132-312-213-123-321-231 so I just keep 123. Other people might post a number like this 4578-8574-7845- and so on 24 different ways. I just keep 4578. if I kept all of these picks I would have the same number stacked up to many times. Wouldn't be able to tell if more than one person picked that particular number. What I am looking for is people who pick the same numbers for all states either straight or boxed but not every conceivable combination of that number. When and if the right excel programer comes along we can adjust the parameters so all possible like numbers will be made to work. Thing is i know what i need done i just don't know enough to do it myself.

I know if theirs a will threirs a way and in the proper hands excel can be a powerful tool.

Possibly Todd could work up something here at Lottery Post for search on this idea to go with the gold or platinum membership benefits.

Why don't you talk to WinSum and or Hypersonique.

Maybe they can help.

As for me, you gave me an idea to try some-time, but I can't talk about it, at least not yet and it might not work anyway and I will not any-way try it for quite a while or long while, since I am busy with my own ideas.

You know I just remember I did have your same idea some time ago, but did not try it, because as I said I am busy with other more important (to me) ideas for the moment.

Good luck to you.

four4me's avatar - gate1
Thanks lantern this was also part of my idea I realize that someone might get a better idea from mine. I started on this thing about 2 months after Todd created the prediction pages. After many hours of pouring over the numbers by hand with pencil and paper I found I had a printed sheet with a bunch of circles around hundred different numbers. Then when Todd created the gold and platinum capabilities I realized I had to find another way to get at the picks I thought might win in my state. On any given day there are approx. 750 pick 3 numbers posted. And the majority of winners for many states are the midday drawings.

Good luck to you on your future goals of finding ways to win.

Four4me , Glad they didnt find anything but surely there must be something other than empty space. I wish I knew how to help with your Excel thing but I'm totally lost around computer programs. Good Luck and if I see something that may be able to help I will let you know ASAP.

Hello four4me;maybe it would speed things up for you if you had the all the combos in box form on a sheet of paper ahead of time. Then just go down the prediction page and either highlite the duplicate numbers or make a mark by them as you go down the page.Just an idea, hope it helps...ram

Great idea!

Sorry, can't help with the program.

Would love too have this information at my disposal.

Best of luck!

four4me's avatar - gate1

Thanks all for your reply's. I kinda have grip on things. I Just need to do the work faster. Since posters ability to post numbers for the day stops at 12. I start all 11 and see how far I can get. If I get the sheet done I go back and copy anybody's numbers that posted after 11 and add them to the list. With a written program this would only take about three minutes. Well, if I get done before noon today I will post what I have. Mind you it might not include everybody's numbers but should be enough to make the day worthwhile.

four4me's avatar - gate1

Sorry folks i tried and failed to post another worksheet to this topic. I never finished in time for miday. And the sheet i finally finished so i might post tonight woln't go thru when i hit post reply maybe it dosen't like the numbers highlighted in yellow or AOL is stopping the post from sending, this is weird. Maybe i'll try a different format for the next try.

LANTERN's avatar - kilroy 28_173_reasonably_small.jpg

I am thinking that maybe a pick 3 program like the Crunch 2 might help to do something similar to what you want to do.

First of all you would copy all the predicted numbers onto Wordpad or Notepad or other such program, then on the input field of The Crunch 2 you would paste the numbers like:

<AddList:StraightNumbers> 123,231,132,213,547,475,931,139,391 The numbers don't have to be on sequence at all, they can be on any order like: 547,123,391,231,475,139 etc, the Crunch 2 will put them in the right order after you click on the "Crunch" box. As shown below.

Then you would click on the box named "CRUNCH" and then you would get these:

Date/Time: Sat Nov 6 19:54:53 CST 2004

INPUT DATA:
<AddList:StraightNumbers> 123, 231, 132, 213, 547, 475, 931, 139, 391

OUTPUT DATA:
BoxedNumbers: 457(2)
475, 547
BoxedNumbers: 139(3)
139, 391, 931
BoxedNumbers: 123(4)
123, 132, 213, 231
No. of Results  : 9
No. of Selections: 3
No. of Priorities: 3

All rights reserved.

Or if you like better then these:

Date/Time: Sat Nov 6 19:56:10 CST 2004

INPUT DATA:
<AddList:StraightNumbers> 123, 231, 132, 213, 547, 475, 931, 139, 391

OUTPUT DATA:
Priority: 2
BoxedNumbers: 457
475, 547
Priority: 3
BoxedNumbers: 139
139, 391, 931
Priority: 4
BoxedNumbers: 123
123, 132, 213, 231
No. of Results  : 9
No. of Selections: 3
No. of Priorities: 3

All rights reserved.

What do you think? Would that work well enough?

Let me know.

This is so weird when I tried to post this last night my PC locked up. I copied and pasted it to the post and when I hit post reply. My PC locked up I tried everything to get it to submit. When I clicked control alt delete. It said AOL has stopped responding. This happened so many times I gave up. Then a few minutes ago I see it made it through. Thing that's weird it wasn't there/here when I checked before I closed lottery post and shut down last night.

I just tried sending it again and my pc locked up says aol stopped responding. Now i am off to talk to an aol teck. to find out what the heck's going on.
