I saw that Pennsylvania has announced what the next version of Powerball will be like, including a "bonus prize" (presumably "Power Surge" or whatever name will be used.) I DO know that the PowerPlay option will be modified so that the minimum multiplier is 2x.
i just want to b1tch and complain about this...unclaimed jackpots should GO BACK IN the pool. 50% should go to the states and 50% should go to the players. but when the states decide to take control of unclaimed prizes they are TAKING MORE than their 50%. these mofos should be hung by the balls and whipped. they are basically robbing us as it is. these people are hippocrites when they allow lotteries but not casinos. it makes no sense when over the long run casinos only take in what 5% but the state lottery takes in 50%. these politicians who are no good, paid off, corrupt a$$holes need to be taken in front of the class and explain why their agendas are so F&cked up!
i wonder what this so called bonus prize is going to be. p.s. ideas for scratch off tix 1. life immunity from marijuana 2. a vip trip to the playboy mansion 3. meet howard stern and party with him at "Scores" 4. a signed photo of the rock being presented his $150,000 mega millions check and finally 5. ted williams head cryogenically frozen in a glass display

Which casino are you talking about where the customer only lose 5% of their money. I don't play the casino but people that I know who do, lose as much money as I do playing the lottery. It really doesn't matter that is 5%, 25% or 50% if at the end you end up empty handed.
I think MUSL will shoot themselves in the foot if this goes forward.. If the added money (because of the 25 M cap) is added to the second or third tier prizes than it will be nice, if you hit, but who are we kidding.. in this society everyone playing (ok maybe one ot two percent don't) are shooting for the grand prize.
What does this do to games like Hot Lotto? If I can win 2 million as a second prize with lower odds than winning 1 million in Hot Lotto than why buy Hot Lotto?
The Mass lottery seems to be proud of it's work, calling themselves the most sucessful in the world, I'm sure that has to do with the numerous scratch tickets that they offer, but for me, a Mass guy, why play Big Game unless it's 300 million plus, why play Powerball at all? Stick to Mass Cash and maybe Hot Lotto if it gets high enough.
