It is still very interesting that there are folks who really believe that there are other folks who somehow have the ability to "predict" what the "winning" numbers will turn out to be in the next drawing of whatever game is being forecast.
It comes as no surprise, at least to me, that this phenomenon is believed by a great majority of gamblers as well. Not that playing the lottery games of each of the states is not gambling, for it certainly falls clearly into the subject of wagering.
I proposed a challenge to a friend who plays heavily in New York's games. These games include, Lotto, Take5, Pick 10, and of course, the three digit and four digit daily numbers, which have now been increased in draw frequency to twice a day. They now have the "mid-day" numbers and the "evening" numbers. It makes me wonder how much longer it will take before they have a draw for the "morning" numbers as well.
I think that I have played these "games" for quite a long time and that I thus have the right to voice my opinion about them.
NO ONE, in my opinion possess the ability to correctly pick the winning numbers, that is, before the drawing, in any recognizable pattern of frequency. These "experts" get "lucky" sometimes as we all do. To spread out their chances of picking correct numbers they usually pick anywhere from 20 to 30 numbers to be used by the player for the average six number drawing. Sometimes they hit two or three out of the 20. Many more times than hit, they don't!
My question is, and I'm by far not the first one to ask it either, if they have this "ability" why aren't THEY filthy rich?
What propels them to want to help us get rich? The answer, of course, is money! They charge for their "services" and give us "their picks" . The only problem with what they give us is they provide a large body of numbers for YOU to choose from as if these are the "favored numbers." Also, although "they" give you the numbers you are playing with "YOUR" money. If the numbers they gave to you don't come in, well THEY have lost nothing while YOU have!
RANDOM numbers are the best shot you have! Some folks say that "selected: numbers offer a better chance! A "SYSTEM" of numbers, maybe! Play "PATTERNS" some others will advise you. Do systems and patterns work? Well, let's try out a "pattern."
Suppose you are watching traffic on a highway and noting the colors of the passenger vehicles on one side of the road, to make this simple, in one lane ONLY.
Two red cars pass, then a black colored car, then a green, then another green then a burgundy, then blue.
Now based upon the sequence of colors presented above, what would the color of the very next car to pass be predicted to be?
What's the answer?
Here's the answer: There ISN'T ANY PREDICTABLE ANSWER! The color of the next car will be whatever it is. It cannot be determined by consulting the previous color results! It's the same with lottery numbers!
The End!
