  Does anybody know which states keep the names of winners of their Pick 5 and Pick 6 games confidential and secret. I have a family that is very dysfunctional and would go after my money if they ever suspected I won something.

  I believe that if you request that no information be given out, the lottery accommodates that request. There is nothing that states your win has to be made public. Good Luck!!

  Most states REQUIRE public disclosure, and some, including New Jersey, even provide an easy method for listing everyone in your town that has won a major prize! Delaware is the only state that I am aware of that specifically provides for remaining anonymous. Do NOT play and expect to remain anonymous if you win, BUT you can always have a plan. You are anonymous up until you actually claim the prize, so there's plenty of time to change your phone number, address, get your finances in order, etc., before you are announced. That is why many big winners wait a while before claiming the prize.

  In Ohio there have been made several jackpots claimed using some kind of a trust arrangement where only the law firm representing the winner is known. If you win a big jackpot I'm sure a good lawyer would be more than willing to discuss your options. A group of workers in Columbus won the Powerball jackpot in Indiana over a year ago used a similar arrangement and only the members who talked to the press were known. There are some people who want the world to know about their good fortune.

  I said I believed that was the case did not mean to mislead you, however, in Florida there are many winners that claim their prize without being publicly recognized. I guess it varies state to state, sorry I was only giving my opinion.

  My point is, unless you live in Delaware, which has a specific provision for anonymity, then you should prepare for a means to keep as much privacy as possible, if that's your desire.

  I believe if you form a trust fund or an incorporated identity prior to claiming any winnings a lawyer can claim your winnings for you using the name of the trust fund or corporate name without reveling your name.

  I am interested in the suggestion that to claim a prize annonymously, lawyers can be brought in and a trust fund created. Anyone has an idea how this is done?
  
  Who then pays the tax? And which are the best lawyers for such a job. Will they charge a fixed fee or a percentage of the winnings?
  
  I presume a trust fund can be created for the Powerball and Big Game also.

  Counting on that Luckyhorsecrap system to win? You might be able to keep the diamond and yacht salesmen off your back, but if you owe your ex-wife and kids money, forget it. Any lawyer should be able to setup a trust for a reasonable fee, you would still have to go down and sign the tickets as say the Pudding Head Family Trust, and yes if you own taxes, child support, jail time, you won't escape that, you would need a crooked lawyer and for that they would have to sign as the winner and you trust them to pay you, ha ha.
