There are other Countries such as Australia that do Lottery rules and regulations the right way such as not taking taxes out of Winners and not showing who the Winners are publicly. I have NEVER liked the fact that the majority of the U.S forces Winners to come forward in Public Press Conferences in order to get their Winnings. If their numbers match, just pay them their money in anonymity. Letting the Public know who won say 500 Million before taxes puts a Target on People who should just be able to collect their Millions in anonymity and go on with their business.

"What's your ADDRESS?" May be the CREEPIEST question EVER asked to a Lottery Winner! O.O WTF?

At first, I found the one digit away draws kind of amusing, but now I am PISSED! 15 or 16 times I was off by just one digit in recent times!🤬 No longer find this amusing, it's making me REALLY angry now!🤬

Are you aware of the fact there is no U.S. lottery and each state lottery decides lottery rules and regulations within their state borders?

Oh and you can only cash your tickets in the state where you purchased them.

There a NP option pm the play slip, standing for no publicity

every US lottery should do that, if nothing else

winnings are not taxed

Those who run the lotteries love it when players look for consistency in something that's designed not to have any. So many systems, so many theories, so few jackpot winners.

There is one and only one 'proven' system, and that is to book the action. No matter the game, let the players pick their own losers.

The "No publicity," was what I was referring to when I mentioned Australia doesn't show who the Winners are. :)

"Karen," your chances of winning a jackpot are so small you shouldn't get your blood pressure up worrying about having to do a press conference. If you are that worried about it, stick to the low-stakes games or drive up to Georgia where winners are anonymous and buy your tickets at the first gas station over the state line.

Agreed! And don't worry about being cheated based on some questionable stray comment on youtube. Good sense/cautiousness is one thing, anger/paranoia is another thing.

Florida isn't as short as it might look. That drive to the nearest gas station in GA is about 375 miles each way. Besides, you can stay anonymous in FL.

If the lotteries didn't show jackpot winners people would say the winners were made up and the lottery kept the money or something like that. Seem to recall one of the largest Internet lotteries claimed to have had a winner in the middle of a war zone where no one could check if the winner even existed. Shortly afterward they shut down.
