A guy said something like,"If I ever win The big Lottery, I would give $100,000 each to my Mom, Dad, Brother, Sister, my Adult Son, my Adult Daughter, my Spouse, and each of my three Best friends for a combined 1 Million. I would have them all sign legally binding documents that state they are to NEVER ask me for money again after receiving this one time $100,000 gift. " I think this is a smart idea because it prevents the giftees from blowing the $100,000 in bad Gambling bets and asking him for more money. It forces them to be responsible with the one time gift. 😀

"What's your ADDRESS?" May be the CREEPIEST question EVER asked to a Lottery Winner! O.O WTF?

At first, I found the one digit away draws kind of amusing, but now I am PISSED! 15 or 16 times I was off by just one digit in recent times!🤬 No longer find this amusing, it's making me REALLY angry now!🤬

As you say, only put all the money in one checking account and give them each a checkbook with the instruction, only to withdraw what they truly need.

Probably it's roo common for some of those mentioned in the OP to say something like

Come on, slap another $100,000 or more on me, you've got millions.

Those who run the lotteries love it when players look for consistency in something that's designed not to have any. So many systems, so many theories, so few jackpot winners.

There is one and only one 'proven' system, and that is to book the action. No matter the game, let the players pick their own losers.

Ideally if you win, you shouldn't tell anybody, except perhaps hard core lottery junkies who would understand the ordeal to win.

Especially if you pick your own numbers.

What if you give 100,000 dollars to your "best" friend, and he uses 50,000 to hire somebody to rob you of your remaining "big" win money.

Better to give 1 million to mom, and tell everybody you gave her 50,000. And for her to dole it out to everybody else.

I dont know. I know I will buy lots of guns, and maybe a tank, before I give anybody any of my lottery winnings.

That's the point of the legally binding document that the giftee is NEVER allowed to ask the Lottery Winner for anymore money beyond the $100,000 gift. And really, the giftee shouldn't ever ask the Gifter for money beyond the $100,000. $100,000 is a lot of money. One big problem I could see arising from this arraignment is say the Parents getting the same amount of money as his three Best Friends and being miffed that they get exactly the same amount as his Best Friends. Like,"We gave you LIFE and you give us the same amount as your Best Friends? Hell no!"

She posted this exact situation before. It is not legally enforceable. The recipients could agree to waive all future claims for additional money but short of harassment or threats, they could ask for more money verbally. That is way too broad of a waiver and void for vagueness.

Exactly. You could only potentially bar future litigation for more money. No more. You cannot silence free speech or someone hinting or inferring their need for more money.

How about instead, if you live in a state where you can claim anonymously (or if you don't, use LLC's and trusts to hide that you won), get it anonymously.

Then set up a trust to give out these distributions,with the condition that these people never know who set it up. If they pass on free money, that's their problem. But then they get the money, and you get zero hassle from them. They won't know it is from you, but you shouldn't care about getting a thank you from them.

Because otherwise, this plan is flawed for many reasons, the biggest of which is that now many people know you won, and many more people will know from them. It's a disaster waiting to happen.

Yep, I remember reading someone quoting "some guy" saying "if I win big" just to hear other "if I win big" opinions.
