Since Jackpot Triple Play began in February of 2019, there haven't been a lot of jackpot winners, but I've seen a few things by just looking at The Jackpot Winners report available on The Florida Lottery's website.
A jackpot is typically won about once every month, and usually for big money. Sure there have been small jackpot winners, ($250,000) but most are $800,000 and up. The winners list is dominated by QP's, there have been hardly any player picked jackpot winners. What appears to be happening is players are waiting for the game to rollover to about a million dollar jackpot, and then they start buying their tickets. (The "coverage thing" kicks in. More tickets/combos are sold/covered due to a big jackpot and that produces a winning ticket) There has been only one winner of every jackpot. I'm sure the game is pari-mutual and that there could be multiple winners, but that has yet to happen since the game began. (That's nice!)
Because the game is only two years old, the history file in my lottery software contains just 270 drawings. #10 is the hottest number drawn in all 270 games. The hottest number of 2021 is #18 with 18 hits. (How weird is that?)
As time goes by, I'll post more stats here. G5
