  Trying to figure out how a lottery game that uses numbers could discard combinations without discarding some or all the numbers making up a combination. Sounds like you're confusing lottery drawings with a raffle.

  It is possible to win the lottery knowing all the possible combinations. It is also possible to win without knowing all the combinations. It is possible to win without knowing 1 + 1 = 2, nor why the sky is blue. How many times have we all read interviews with lottery winners who said they bought some quick picks on a whim?
