You can kill some people, giving them that much money all at once, even if it takes almost twenty years.

Andrew Jackson (Jack) Whittaker, Jr. (October 9, 1947 - June 27, 2020) was an American businessman in the construction industry. He was noted for being the winner of a 2002 lottery jackpot. His win of US$314.9 million in the Powerball multi-state lottery was, at the time, the largest jackpot ever won by a single winning ticket in the history of American lottery.

The last video of Jack on YouTube showed him obese with a beer barrel gut. He was probably diabetic. He had to fight alcoholism and drug addiction.

Jack gave jackpot winners a list of what not to do post win. Hind sight is 20/20.

His granddaughter should have been enrolled in a prestigious private school that was away from Hurricane, West Virginia. May she, Brandy Bragg, rest in peace.

Jack gave Brandi $2,000.00 every week. She was only 16 years old.

If only Jack took advice from professionals.

Before Jack won he was worth $17 million. He was CEO of a successful construction business.

This Lottery Post Search box has a lengthy post and well worth reading on Jack.

They say when you die you can't take it with you. Well Jake made sure of that. I think the first thing he bought when he won all that money was a big giant pi$$ bucket.

I cannot even comprehend anyone winning that much money at one time!

Shocking!...what in the world would you do with it all!

I just found this video...he really had some bad luck!

Looks like it was a curse for him to win all of that money!

I Agree!....bad luck? I should say not. He created his own reality. Sorry...No crocodile tears here. House went up in flames? ..Hmmm.....half a million in cash stolen from truck? ..Say what?...Who does that?.. Sorry but the limit I carry in my car is about 250K in case I need to go shopping or the casino.

Vergie6,   Uncle Sam and the winner's State take a big bite out of the advertised annuity. Same with the Cash Lump Sum.

The winner still ends up wealthy!

Take life slow after claiming. Before claiming as well.

No pick 3 straight numbers in Illinois lottery in almost a year(11 months). This is very strange.

I honestly thought this guy passed away years ago. Whenever they talk about the "curse of the lottery" they use him as the primary example. It's very sad.
