  Time:Line: November 21st, 1980, Las Vegas at the MGM Grand Hotel & Casino now called Ballys

  88 patrons died and many injured in a ferocious fire in third worst hotel fire on record, caused by suspected disgruntled hotel employee  :-(

  I remember this like it happened yesterday, yea that's the property at the SE corner of Flamingo rd. and the strip.

  Lots of things on this intersection that were not there back then, very sad day indeed !

   

  Also this is the reason we now have a strict fire and building code.
