I would like to take this opportunity to thank each and every one of you all around the world in advance for contributing to the size of my record windfall this coming Wednesday. It would be an understatement to say I simply could not do it alone without you. So as to responsibly plan for my future budget; Please assist me in accurately determining the gross size of the annuity I can expect to enjoy.

I think, if it keeps rolling, less than devout players will drop out of the game. I think, they will feel it's all a joke. Regular players will play no matter the jackpot amount.

The last drawing reportedly topped out at $947.9 million, which is an increase of 79.4% over the previous jackpot of $528.5 million. If we get the same increase for this drawing the resulting jackpot would be just a hair over $1.700 billion. That would take sales of nearly 800 million tickets, generating about $1.6 billion in revenue. The chance of another rollover would be about 6.5%, or 1 in 15.

Perhaps the most interesting thing about this will be to see just how irrational people get, and whether or not we're approaching a limit at which a bigger jackpot doesn't cause an enormous jump in sales. There's at least one poster here who claims to have spent $500 on each of the previous drawings, and we know there are plenty of people IRL who have spent $100 and up. Will those people spend that much money yet again, or cut their losses and spend more reasonable amounts this time around? Will the people who do cut their losses be replaced by others? And how many of the people who still didn't take at least a $2 or $4 chance even after the bump to 900 million will finally take a chance for $1.3 to 1.7 billion?

I imagine some folks dropped some serious cash on the last draw thinking that this was the last of that run.

However, I would think the folks on the sidelines will bet on this one and that may offset things

I'm estimating 1.4-1.5 billion. That's more tickets than were sold for Saturday, but not a lot more.

$1.5 B sounds about right. We have an extra day between drawings but I expect sales at or slightly higher than Saturday.

If the chances of winning the jackpot are so slim, why play when the jackpot is so small? Your chances never change, but the potential payoff does.
If a crystal ball showed you the future of the rest of your life, and in that future you will never win a jackpot, would you still play?

I'm baffled that it is still $1.5 billion.

Anyone with a half a brain would've imagined this jackpot would hit at least $1.6 bill.

After tonight's draw,you watch the violence and domestic assaults fly off the chart.

All those people thinking it truly was going to be their night.
