Hello:
I'd like to share with you and idea I've had on how to anlayze the P4 using LBT99. Although LBT99 provides its own P4 analysis, this idea is based on analyzing P3 numbers.
I was reviewing some of the older systems I had, amongst which was LBT99(Lightningbolt 99). The problem with using this software, presently, is the cumbersome entering of a significant amount of past draws(at least 60) needed to get the ranking system working. The database files are binary in nature, so they are not so easy to update, and the originator of this software no longer provides updated draw files. To this end, I wrote two software programs to create and update a generic P3 and P4 LBT99 database file. The P3 and P4 files were chosen from the database files already present in the P3, P4 database directories and were renamed GenericP3.db and GenericP4.db. The software merley replaces up to 100 of the old entries in these files with an input list of current draws, leaving the original dates intact(the dates are really not necessary). Once tested and debugged, the sofware updated the generic files in a flash only usding as input the past draw text file.
The P4 update program performs another function: It creates 4 other LBT99 P3 database files. The draws in these files represent the 4 segements of the P4, one file for each segment. In other words, Each P4 draw, ABCD, has four segments:ABC, ABD, ACD, and BCD. So, at each update for a P4, the corresponding P3 segment files are also created.
Strategy 1 seemingly provides the most straight and unboxed winners for the P3. The problem with this strategy is that there are often too many numbers(as many in the high 90's). So here's the idea I had for getting P4 selections. Get the plays using Strategy 1 for any two segments of the P4, say ABC and BCD. Look at each of the selections and form a P4 number by matching up the end digits(BC) of the ABC selections with the beginning digits(BC) of the BCD selections. The number of selections should be considerably fewer than each of the individual segment selections, since we are requiring that the ending and beginning digits match up.
Below are the Stratgey 1 picks for each of the 4 segements for a P4 game under analysis

By considering P4 selections obtained by matching up the ABC selections with the ABD selections, we are provided with the box winner 9076(ABC - 907, ABD - 906).
I'd like to hear from anyone who is interested in persuing this idea.
