Has anyone ever checked out random.org for quick picks?  Claim that they use radio interfence (not a RNG) for its random picks.  Any thoughts on this?  Seems like another useful tool in the toolbox for lottery.  I like to personally use a combo of random picks with 'hot numbers' and make a combo of the 2 for my number selections.

Once you put your own 'hot numbers' into the mix, your number selections are not random. Besides if you just want some random combinations, what make you think those picked by radio interference are better than those selected by the lottery terminal?

I had been using the (lotterypost.com) site as a "reference" for a while now.  They provide ten sets of whatever you want.  hot, cold, overdue, random.  They don't provide any methodology on they're selections but usually on target with the info.

Again, just a reference to consider for your own selections. Purely entertainment in intention.

You can't compare a random noise generator to a lottery terminal. The terminal uses a psuedo random generator to pick a set of numbers. If you want the number to be truly random the source or seed must be completely non-determinstic.

I can compare a lottery terminal with anything I want even if it's illogical, but I wasn't comparing a lottery terminal with a noise generator.

The question was "what make you think those (numbers) picked by radio interference are better than those selected by the lottery terminal?", maybe you have an answer.

Personally I don't think a truly randomly generated number have any better chance of winning than any other numbers.

I've seen it but it didn't impress me. Then again, I don't want random numbers, I want numbers that are gonna come out. Sun Smiley

If you don't want to use the rng here at lp - try rng at Rumor Mill.
