Well we finally have hit the $7,000,000 jackpot for the first time since Michigan started this game. Previous record was about $6.8 million I believe. I think they really need to change this game. I mean look at all the other states that start their games at around the amount we are up to now, and this has been growing for months. I hope this reaches up to like 10 million just to see if sales will increase, because this game needs help.
A lottery jackpot has to start at less than half of the anticipated ticket sales if the state plans to keep half of the sales for its projects and use the other half to pay lower tier prizes and buy an annuity for the jackpot not to mention the expenses of running the lottery. Lotteries have to make money and be self supporting or states wouldn't have them.
