ATLANTA – The Georgia Lottery Corporation held its Rush to Win Grand Prize Event on Friday, April 14, 2006, during halftime of the Atlanta Hawks game at Philips Arena. The 10 contestants had 20 seconds to choose one of 300 money bags in 15 wheelbarrows for the chance to win the $1 MILLION grand prize or a 2006 Hummer H3. While no one selected the grand prize or Hummer bag, each contestant walked away with $1,000 and memories to last a lifetime.
"Rush to Win was an exciting promotion for Georgia Lottery players that ultimately resulted in additional dollars for HOPE and Pre-K," said Georgia Lottery President and CEO Margaret DeFrancisco. "While the promotion was full of fun, we still have a very important mission to raise dollars for the educational programs we fund."
The 10 Rush to Win Grand Prize Event contestants were randomly selected from more than 1.4 million entries in the Georgia Lottery's Rush to Win promotion.
300 money bags in 15 wheelbarrows ? How corny...sounds to me like the GA lottery didn't want anyone to win the 1MIL or the H3..
