Help with mathematical averages

jordi marey's avatar - Lottery-039.jpg

need a little help.  have seen the following info for basic Pick 3.

The Florida Cash 3 started on 4/29/1988 allowing for +/-6,495 (no Xmas draws first few yrs)

Help with the expected averages or percentage of wins for

Expected number of odd digits drawn in 6,495 draws

Expected number of even digit drawn

Expected or average number doubles drawn –front

Average or expected number of doubles drawn-back

Average or expected number of triples in 6,495

Cannot think of anymore.

Thanks,

formulas

odd digits: 6,495 * 3 / 2

even digits 6,495 * 3 / 2

front doubs: 6,495 * 90 / 1000

back doubs: 6,495 * 90 / 1000

trips : 6,495 * 10 / 1000

jordi marey,

Don't forget the split doubles: 101, 353, etc.
Same formula as the other doubles.
See if your game is showing a bias way above or way below "expectation"; use it as a guideline.
Good luck and skill.

Florida Cash 3 like most Pick3/4 must show BIAS, I guess.  So much for my averages.

The Fla Cash3 3rd position # One continues on its COLD no win path while

the 3rd position # Nine appear to be cooling down with only 11 wins in last six months.
ACcelerating/Decelerating  Heating up/Cooling Down?
3rd Position #One (1) remains    compared to     3rd Position # Nine (9) which

has won:

8 Xs in 6 mos              compared to        a decreasing  11 wins
20 wins in 12 mos              vs                +/- expected 34 wins
35 wins in 18 mos.        Compared to        expected 57 wins
56 wins in 24 mos          compared to        81 wins in 24 mos
92 wins in 36 mos              vs                    122 wins in same X

166 wins in 5 yr                 vs                    203 wins in same X.

still working on skill for Luck.

You have to watch it with averages.

I was looking at a guy with a bald spot on the top of his head and reasonably long hair on the back and sides of his head. So, what's his average hair length. It's probably the same as someone elses who has uniform hair length all across his head. The point being, how does an average become an average at the event level, via extremes or uniformly? Most of the lottery data I've looked at seems to be a mix..hot numbers/cold numbers/ and some average numbers.

Its simple, take every length of hair add the totals together and divide the outcome by the number of hairs.

Thats the average.

Best of luck with that, he might get a little funny, or more worrying he may even like it Smile.
