Some kind of filters are needed, of course.  I just wanted to list all the numbers for people to see what the combos were and maybe see something they like, but applying filters is good.

I guess it was Lantern that started the term "LDR" which is, of course, a misnomer.  It stands for "Last Digit Root", but as most of us know, a "root" is defined as reducing the sum down to one digit by adding the digits together.

What is referred to as LDR is actually what Todd calls SLD (Sum Last Digit) or some people call it the "short sum".  Either of those is appropriate, but certainly not anything that has the word "root" in it.

Some examples:

The combo 193 = 1+9+3 = 13 (Sum) ... The SLD would be simple the last digit (3).  The root sum would be 1+3 = 4.

Would you also recommend eliminating the "rares" and doubles and triples from the 46?

Very true CD, but as it was written, "What is done, is done", so too late and it stays as LDR, I won't change it, but alas, you are right, no doubt about it.

Many people will come to know those filter patterns as LDRs. Sorry, but I won't change the term.

Good luck.

So you missed 4 days and hit on the 5th (assuming you didn't start playing until the 12th).  How many numbers would have been played each draw?

Blackapple's avatar - nw rogue2.jpg

Yes , Greater chance for

a hit.

Troublesome when LDR 0

is used as a final

LDR also stand for

OK!!  I just find it interesting that people refer to them as LDR when Todd calls them SLD!

Personally I like "short sum".  Those of us that have worked with numbers and computers would also like "LSD" ... no not the drug ... Least Significant Digit.

LANTERN's avatar - kilroy 28_173_reasonably_small.jpg

The main reason for not changing is (are) my past filters posts, I would not want to confuse people no more than they might already be, the use of filters to some people is already confusing enough. Besides many people already read those posts and there in time might be even more of such posts, so I have to preserve continuity (More or less).
