Powerball

It's likely that someone in Minnesota is already a multimillionaire. Check your tickets, folks, it could be you.

A single jackpot-winning Powerball ticket worth up to $98.7 million was sold in Minnesota; it was the second time in the past two months a big winner was sold there.

The winning numbers drawn Saturday night were 4-10-11-18-43 and the Powerball was 41. Only one ticket matched all six numbers.

The jackpot is worth $98.7 million if the winner takes the annuity option, which would pay out $3.2 million a year for 30 years, or $2.2 million a year after withholding, the Minnesota State Lottery said. The lump-sum cash option is worth $53.1 million before withholding, or $35.9 million after withholding.

For security reasons, lottery officials don't say where a winning ticket was sold until after it's presented, spokeswoman Debbie Hoffmann said.

She said the earliest the winner could come forward is 8 a.m. today when the lottery headquarters in Roseville opens. The winner has a year to come forward.

The winner should sign the back of the ticket immediately, put it in a safe place, and call the lottery at 651-635-8228 to make arrangements, she said.

A Stillwater couple won a jackpot July 7 and took the $11.1 million cash option, she said. This is Minnesota's 18th Powerball winner. The state also had six jackpot winners with its predecessor, Lotto America. The odds of winning a Powerball jackpot are about 1 in 120 million.
