Washington Lottery to Discontinue Televised Drawings

The Washington Lottery said yesterday that it will not renew its contract to broadcast lottery drawings.

The Lotto, Mega Million, Quinto, Lucky for Life, Daily Keno and Daily Game drawings have been broadcast on Television Washington, a statewide public affairs network, as part of a three-year contract.

All televised drawings will end July 1.

Lottery officials said the decision was based on research that found that less than 1 percent of players routinely viewed the televised drawings in order to find the winning numbers.

Officials said nearly 34 percent of players check their numbers using the "Check-a-Ticket" self-service automated system available at more than 1,500 retail locations.

The same security measures for drawings will continue, including video surveillance and independent auditors on site for drawings, officials said.

It could be worst, it could read:

The Washington Lottery said yesterday that it will not renew its contract to have lottery drawings.

All drawings will end July 1.

Lottery officials said the decision was based on research that found that less than 1 percent of players routinely expected to win anything.

"Unlucky for Life" should be discontinued, and Quinto replaced with a pick-5                                                  all-NUMBER game.

Wow! Deja Vu!

The same announcement was made here in Indiana just before they retired the balls and went to an RNG to draw the numbers for all of their online games.

Good Luck, Washington... (and hold onto your wallets)

just so long as the MUSL keeps on televising the powerball draw...

If they did that here in PA, I would seriously consider not playing anymore... they make MORE than enough money... and if they ever go to all RNG ,I am out... period. ( I won't play PA mid 3 or 4... I don't play evening either but that''s because I'm after the jackpot games... I wouldn't even waste "prize" money on a PRNG state-controlled game... I'd rather buy an instant ticket (and I would NEVER do that))

The PA "Hearts & Diamonds" 5/26 quick-pick only game was drawn by computer.

The lotteries know that players are catching on to the tracking of numbers and you will see more and more rng draws.
Rng draws can be more controlled to be far more random than balls.
