A building superintendent who's lived apart from his wife for 26 years will reunite with her - using $1 million he won in the lottery.

Jorge Avila of White Plains, who won the Win for Life game, will bring his wife from Ecuador to live with him in the United States.

Avila was one of seven instant lottery millionaires introduced in Brooklyn yesterday.

"We've spent more time apart than we've been together," Avila said. "We've been dreaming about this for a long time."

Queens grandmother Shirley Fried and Brooklyn construction worker Mohammad Alam each won $5 million playing the Set for Life game.

Two other Brooklynites - construction worker Charles Powers and mother of four Rachel Lev - each won $2 million playing the $150 million Prize Payout Bonanza.

"I couldn't believe it," Lev said. "Things like this don't happen to me."

Retired office worker Maureen Jaegge of Levittown, L.I., also won $1 million playing Win For Life.

And Omar Matmati of Phoenix, Ariz., cashed in a $1 million Panda-Money-Um ticket that was sent to him by his brother who lives in Dutchess County. Receiving a lottery ticket in the mail had become "a tradition," Matmati said.

"But I never thought I'd win the jackpot."
