Salvatore Mancuso of Williamsville, New York is a man of few words. When asked what he did after finding out he won one million dollars, Mancuso said, "not much!"

It must have been a somewhat exciting day for Mancuso and his family.

On May 14, the 54-year-old cement finisher bought a Moo-La-Millions ticket at the Tops on Maple Road in Amherst, scratched off the game ticket, and discovered that he won.

The New York Lottery game had just gone on the market two days earlier.

Mancuso's son, Rosario, joined his father at the Tops on Wednesday for a cake party with lottery officials.

"I'd like a big truck," said Rosario, who added the family might buy another house in the Amherst area and save some of the money.

Under Moo-La-Millions regulations, the money is paid in annual installments over 20 years. After taxes, Mancuso will receive about $37,000 a year.

Mancuso and his wife moved to Williamsville as newlyweds in 1972 from their native Sicily. He works for P & J Construction.
