The South Carolina Education Lottery will give away $1 million in a drawing of losing instant game tickets.

Players can enter by collecting $20 worth of losing tickets marked with "Carolina Millionaire Promotion" across the top. Entrants have to fill out the back of at least one ticket and mail them in an envelope to the designated post office box listed on the back of each ticket.

The Carolina Millionaire games launch May 4 and include the following instant tickets: Carolina Payout ($10), Cash Explosion 2nd Edition ($5), Big Bang Boom ($2), and Beach Music Cash ($1). All of the tickets are marked with "CM" in the upper left corner and "Carolina Millionaire Promotion" across the top.

On Sept. 22, 10 semifinalists will be drawn with the Carolina Millionaire being selected Oct. 14 at the South Carolina State Fair in Columbia.

The nine other semifinalists will win an all-inclusive Caribbean vacation for two people to a Super-Club Breezes resort.

The lottery already operates a monthly second-chance drawing in which people can send in five losing tickets from instant win games for a chance in drawings for $50. One hundred $50 winners are selected from each month's entrants.
