Mega Millions jackpot increases to $45 million

Mega Millions

The jackpot in the multi-state Mega Millions lottery grew to $45 million Wednesday.

None of the tickets sold for Tuesday's $36 million drawing matched all five lotto numbers and the Mega Ball.  The next drawing will be Friday.

There were 10 second-prize winners from Tuesday night's drawing.  Those winning tickets, worth $175,000 each, were sold in Maryland, Michigan, New York (3), Texas (2), and Virginia (3).

22 players matched four of the five lotto numbers, plus the Mega Ball number.  Those tickets are each worth $5,000.

The winning numbers from Tuesday's drawing were: 1, 10, 17, 23, and 35.  The Mega Ball number was 45.
