There is only one winning ticket from Wednesday night's $4 million Hoosier Lotto drawing and it was purchased in South Bend, Indiana.

As of Thursday night, no one had come forward with the winning ticket.

Discount Liquor, 2609 S. Michigan St., sold the ticket. When store management got the call from lottery representatives Thursday morning, they thought it was a joke.

Discount Liquor will get a good chunk of money just for selling the winning ticket -- $37,000 to be exact. It's all customers and store workers could talk about.

"Everybody keeps saying, 'What are you gonna do with it? What are you gonna do with it?' But we're a business. The money will be reinvested back into the business," said store manager Mark Johnson.

Johnson was on cloud nine Thursday.

"You figure the odds of winning the jackpot are 1 in 6 million. The odds of selling the winning ticket got to be astronomical," he said.

But it happened.

"Just like the lottery players, you can always dream, and I guess our dream came true," Johnson said.

Discount Liquor has been in business for 10 years at several area locations. Johnson has only owned the South Michigan location for a little more than a year.

The winning Hoosier Lotto numbers were: 8, 9, 14, 20, 29 and 34.

The prize for Saturday's Hoosier Lotto game will be an estimated $1 million.

Meanwhile, none of the tickets sold for the Powerball game Wednesday night matched all six numbers drawn, which were: 2, 7, 16, 35, 37 and Powerball 10.

Players matching all five numbers and the Powerball would have won or shared the nearly $48 million jackpot. The prize goes to an estimated $57 million for Saturday.

Tickets that match the first five numbers, but miss the Powerball, win $100,000 each, and there were two of those. They were sold in Colorado and Oregon.

A winning Power Play Match 5 ticket worth $500,000 was sold in Indiana in the Dearborn County town of Moores Hill.
