Powerball

There were no Powerball jackpot winners Wednesday but 315,941 players across the nation won a total of more than $2.8 million in prizes in America's Game.

Because no one correctly matched all six numbers in Wednesday's drawing the jackpot will grow to an estimated $12 million.

The cash option for the Saturday, March 20 drawing will be an estimated $6.7 million.

The numbers drawn were: 7, 15, 20, 24, 43 and the Powerball was 5. The Power Play multiplier was 4.

Six players correctly matched the 5 white numbers and won $100,000. The tickets were sold in Kentucky, Missouri (3), Pennsylvania, and South Carolina. None of the winning players purchased the Power Play option. If they had, they would have multiplied their prize by 4 for a total win of $400,000.

Twenty-four players matched 4 white numbers plus the Powerball and won $5,000. Two of those players purchased the Power Play option, giving them a total win of $20,000.

More than 45,000 winning Powerball players multiplied their prize by 4 Wednesday. They were able to do that by purchasing the Power Play option for one dollar. With Power Play you can multiply your winnings, except for the jackpot. At the beginning of each drawing a wheel is spun to select that night's multiplier.

Players should carefully check their tickets after every draw. Even if there are no jackpot winners there are always tens of thousands of winners at other prize levels.

Players purchased more than 10.3 million tickets between Sunday and Wednesday night.

The lotteries sold more than $2 billion in Powerball tickets in 2003. That translates into more than $600 million for worthwhile state projects.

I think the best way to win more money is to purchase the power play option.I don't know why MM dont have the power play option.Hope that come up soon in the game.

Don't play the power play option here.

I'd like to see a Powerball "kicker" number similar to the Connecticut Cash 5 game offered for a extra buck.

Play responsibly and have fun,  Chas

ok. there's a huge flaw with power play in the fact that they use a wheel to determine the number.  the original placement of the wheel, as well as where the ball is dropped, will determine what number is chosen.  if one is able to figure out the physics of it, they will be able to figure out what number will come up.  they should use a ball machine instead because it is more random.
