Partnership Claims $35 Million Florida Lotto Jackpot

The Florida Lottery announced today the $35 million Florida Lotto jackpot from the January 21 drawing was claimed in the name of the Cruz Family Partnership of Carol City, Florida.

The members of the Cruz Family Partnership include: Euridice Cruz, Edgar Cruz, Edgar Mauricio Cruz, Maria Cruz, Andrea Cruz Munoz, Julian Cruz, and Cesar Cruz.

The Cruz Family Partnership received the jackpot in one lump sum of $20,190,727.74.

The winning Lotto ticket was purchased at Publix, located 18496 N.W. 67th Street in Miami.  The store has received a $10,000 retailer bonus for selling the winning Florida Lotto jackpot ticket.

The winning numbers for the January 21 drawing were: 03-07-14-27-38-40.

Total ticket sales for this jackpot generated approximately $24.8 million for the Educational Enhancement Trust Fund for Florida's schools.  Since 1999, the Florida Lottery has transferred $3.7 billion to the Florida Educational Enhancement Trust Fund.  This brings the Lottery's commitment to education revenue transfers to more than $13 billion to date.  The Florida Lottery was created by constitutional amendment in 1986 for the purpose of enabling the people of our state to benefit from significant additional moneys for education.

The Cruz Family Partnership is the 132nd Florida Lotto winner to purchase a winning ticket in Miami-Dade County.  The partnership is the 742nd Lotto winner since 1988.  The jackpot for the next Florida Lotto drawing Saturday, January 31, is estimated at $7 million.
