Becoming Pennsylvania's newest multimillionaire means Lisa Ensor will have a bigger wedding reception than she was planning and a larger investment portfolio.
It also might mean a new car, a trip and a house.
Ensor, 42, of York, yesterday had few definitive plans for the newfound fortune that comes with being one of two winning ticketholders in the New Year's Eve Powerball drawing.
Ensor said she held off claiming her $60,149,751.49 lump-sum payment to allow time to get financial advice.
She shares the jackpot -- the fifth largest in Powerball history -- with a South Carolina lottery player.
Realizing she is now a millionaire was something that she said, "you just can't comprehend."
"It's almost like an out-of-body experience," said her fiance, Dale Finkenbiner, who has been engaged to Ensor for a year.
They have not set a wedding date.
They realized around noontime on New Year's Day that one of the 60 tickets she purchased the day before made her a big winner, she said.
The multistate lottery, which benefits older Pennsylvanians, had not had a winner in 15 earlier drawings, allowing the jackpot to swell to $221.5 million if taken in yearly installments over 29 years.
"We screamed and jumped," Ensor said. She and her fiance kept her good fortune to themselves and the winning ticket with computer-picked numbers in a bank safe deposit box until yesterday.
Since learning she was a big winner, Ensor quit her job as a machine operator at Tyco Electronics.
Employees at the Rutter's Farm Store on Arsenal Road in York, where Ensor is a regular lottery ticket buyer, also were glad the winner finally emerged.
Rutter's President Scott Hartman promised manager Mary Roan $7,000 and her employees each $3,500 of the $400,000 that the store receives for selling the ticket.
no wedding date yet, I'm guessing he'll start pushing for one shortly....although Lisa Ensor-Finkenbiener just might be a deal breaker for the newly found millionare!

and how about the store employees, wouldn't you think that $70,000 and $35,000 would be a little better from someone recieving $400,000. But I guess because its not my cash it looks a little cheap to me!
The store is giving about a third of that to charity. A good chunk is for store improvements. Since it happened locally here, it was quite the show when Lisa stepped forward. All over today's front pages.

Well in Michigan if you were a store and sold a $200,000,000 Mega Millions ticket you would only recieve $2,000. Michigan gives a higher percentage to retailers in general for selling tickets and pays nothing when you sell a winning ticket.

I'd almost have to agree with you about the buying one ticket and winning scenario, but that's usually all I can scrape up enough for each week. (Please forgive my poverty.) What irritates me is when any given winner is the kind of person who only buys tickets when the jackpot gets high. They don't help to build the pot, but they're more than happy to partake in it only when it reaches the stratosphere. Even that doesn't irk me quite as bad as when someone who's already a millionaire wins $100,000,000 plus. That about made me cry. I like when someone who REALLY needs it wins. An unemployed widowed mother of six winning $20,000,000 would make me feel all warm and fuzzy, almost as good as if I'd won myself.

Not if its me. That's how I play. One ticket per drawing, quick pick. Power Play. maybe I'll pick my own for Match 6. Then I'll rmember what they are, when I hear them on the radio. One more thing. I was going to say, that maybe Lisa will buy her fiancee a toupee, but I won't. they live too close to here.
