Three winning tickets were sold for Tuesday night's $70 million Mega Millions drawing.

Two of those tickets in the multistate lottery were purchased in Roswell, Georgia and the third ticket was sold in Portage, Michigan, near Kalamazoo.  Each ticket's annuity value is worth $23,333,333 before taxes.

Georgia and Michigan Lottery officials have not yet said which retailers sold the winning tickets.

Eight tickets had all five numbers but not the Mega Ball for a $175,000 prize.

Thirty-three tickets matched four of the lotto numbers and the Mega Ball and pay $5,000 each.

The winning numbers from Tuesday night's drawing were: 2,5,17,21 and 22. The Mega Ball number was 43.

The jackpot drops back to $10 million for Friday's game.

CASH Only

Do you suppose the same store sold, or even the same person holds, two of the tickets?

Yes obviously someone bought those two same tickets.  I highly doubt that the two tickets sold in Roswell Georgia were two different stores and two different ticket holders.  But three tickets win the jackpot when the jackpot was only 70 million.  But we finally hit here in Michigan!  Its about time!!!!!

Hey, players just hit Powerball when it was $10 million and $12 million.  People hit 3 out of 4 drawings.  The concept of hitting low jackpots is not unique to MM, although I don't consider $70 million to be low.  A lot of people start playing at a lot lower level than that.

Watch it be some store owner who ran the same ticket twice and had to keep one.....

That would be a stroke of luck now wouldn't it be?  haha.... I have a feeling though that a player liked "their" numbers and played them more than once.  Well if they did they get two shares from this jackpot so it makes sense to do that.

well i'm just so tired of the low prizes mm offers - it will never get resolved until mm is not a 52/52 game. really odd about two tickets - although i've accidentally run the same number more than once myself. i would hope its the same person with two tickets if its a store owner the real winner will be the lawyers.
