Missouria Lottery players can start celebrating the holidays early with the "Big Sleigh Giveaway" promotion. Players will have a chance to win a 2004 Lincoln Aviator®, travel certificates, home furnishings, big-screen televisions and cash in the promotion, which runs from Nov. 1 through Jan. 9, 2004.
"This promotion is very similar to last year's holiday promotion," said Jennifer Kempker, promotions manager for the Missouri Lottery. "Players really liked the variety of prizes, so this year we are offering many of the same types of prizes."
Kempker said this year, like last year, players will be able to enter the promotion on-line. This year, players can use the Lotterys new "My Lottery" X-press Entry service to make entering faster.
"Not only will using it make entering the promotion faster and easier, but it will also save players postage," she said. "Best of all, once an account is set up, the player will only have to enter the serial number on the ticket, and My Lottery members can view and edit their entries at any time prior to the promotion drawings."
To enter any of the promotion's three drawings, players can either mail $10 worth of Scratchers tickets from the five eligible holiday games to the Lottery or they can enter numbers from those tickets on the Lottery's Web site. Scratchers games eligible for the promotion are: game 487, "Ring in the Holidays!," a $1 game; game 486, "Holiday Jack," a $2 game; game 485, "Jingle Bell Bingo," a $2 game; game 484, "Merry Money," a $5 game; and game 483, "$300,000 Seasons Greetings," a $10 game.
Prizes in the promotion include: one grand prize of a 2004 Lincoln Aviator and $500 cash; 12 first prizes (four per drawing) of the winner's choice of either a $4,500 travel certificate plus $500 spending cash or a $5,000 home furnishings certificate; 18 second-prizes (six per drawing) of the winner's choice of a $1,000 travel certificate plus $500 cash or a 50-inch television; and 150 third prizes (50 per drawing) of $500 cash.
Entries can be entered through the Lottery's Web site at www.molottery.com or mailed to: Big Sleigh Giveaway, Missouri Lottery, P.O. Box 104711, Jefferson City, Mo., 65110-4711. Players can also drop off entries at any Missouri Lottery office. The three drawing dates are Dec. 4, Dec. 18 and Jan. 15, 2004.
