The Georgia Lottery Corporation's board of directors has selected an executive recruiting firm to lead its national search for a president and chief executive officer.
Korn-Ferry International, a Los Angeles-based executive search firm, will conduct a national search to find a replacement for Rebecca Paul, who resigned on Sept. 8 to head Tennessees lottery.
Kathy Walls, the senior vice-president for corporate affairs for the Georgia Lottery, is serving as interim president while the search is conducted.
Korn-Ferry International brings a wealth of expertise in executive recruitment and has the experience necessary to assist us in finding the most qualified candidates, said Dave Garrett, chairman of the Georgia Lottery boards search committee.
Paul earned approximately $500,000 a year as head of the Georgia Lottery.
Georgia can have DiFrancesco. NY needs someone who will push for all scratch prizes to be paid in lump sum, give Mega Millions players (within NY) the right to choose cash/annuity AFTER winning, and a 50% prize return in Lotto (currently 40%; a 3/6 match wins $1).
Georgia should hire NY's lottery director-she won't give NY players a better prize return on the 6/59, or eliminate the annuity-only scratch games.
i'm available.
