Mega Millions

One ticket sold in New Jersey won Tuesday's multi-state Mega Millions lottery jackpot worth $12 million, lottery officials said.

There were five second-prize winners from Tuesday night's drawing worth $175,000. Three of those winning tickets were sold in New York and one each in Georgia and Virginia.

Twelve players matched four of the five lotto numbers, plus the Mega Ball number. Those tickets are each worth $5,000.

The winning numbers from Tuesday night's drawing were: 1, 2, 22, 40 and 41. The Mega Ball number was 43.

The next Mega Millions drawing is Friday and lottery officials estimated the next jackpot at $10 million.
